Trusted Valuable Warriors opinions needed...apply within...

Hi to all, hope all are having the best day ever.....

I would like to start approaching realtors, property managers

(anything realestate, which is my background, love it to death, unfortunately my small market has just about died!!! Really Really sad to see so many clients losing their homes in this tough economy, 1 in 3 right now!!!. Wish those big bank guys could come up with a way to help these tax paying homeowners!!!!:confused

I have seen some sites built which include their listings, pis and vids ect. ( or auto dealers)

Would Quintens product allow me to do this?

Or how about Jason Fladliens wpmobilepro?

Or Willr's ( love that guy ! )

This is really the only thing now stopping me from sending out emails and promotional material......

Thanks so much for any help

Have the best day....

Karen.

Hi,

I purchased WpMobilePro and have my long time real estate agent interested in a site (my first for free in return for endorsing me to others).

The step I am at now is building my first site and was wondering if we could discuss what a real estate agent might want.

WpMobilePro affords the opportunity to charge hosting fees as opposed to having to pay them as most other products require plus I find it a feature and not a bug that WpMobilePro doesn't require entry into a proprietary app store.

BTW, thanks for the property manager idea. I have experience with one as well and I would like to suggest that tenants might like access to their property managers as well.

It might be a bit forward to use the push feature of some products in that such may be deemed a collection practice and might get you (or your customer) in hot water. Since WpMobilePro is a WP theme, that isn't even an option, which may be a good thing in this market.

Which way did you end up going?

Thanks,

Brett

Karen,

If you were going to approach real estate agents you would need a more substantial offering. Rather than re-invent the wheel I would probably use a system that has already been built for that specific purpose. If you try to do it yourself you'll end up wasting a lot of time and money.

One service I have found that will create these mobile real estate sites for you at a VERY reasonable price is:
Agentpoint The Wordpress Real Estate Web Developers » Real Estate Mobile Phone Website

Definitely worth a look. They even integrate it into their current website so all the listings, etc on the mobile site all update automatically. I believe they charge about $350 to set it up but because of the quality of the site, you could then very easily onsell that to your client for $1000+ (small change to a real estate agent) and a monthly maintenance/hosting fee of $99 or so... and you don't have to do any of the work.

You can see one of their sample real estate mobile sites here:
http://m.rwm.com.au

I am sure it would be a pretty easy sell once you showed the client an example site and what it can do.

I have absolutely no affiliation with this company but I have yet to see a better system in that price-range. It looks good and does everything a real estate agency would want it to.

You know that I sell mobile website templates but I would never recommend setting up a big real estate company on the back of a simple template like mine or even the WP solution mentioned above. Everything has it's own limitations. If you are going to do it you should do it properly and a service like the one above is going to position you as a real expert... or real estate expert

Thanks for your feedback will,
I will certainly check that out.

Hi,

Thanks for the very specific feedback. While I am just starting out in local offline, this was a spontaneous question during a call about other RE matters.

Admittedly there are going to be quite a few competitors that have already entered the market that I was hoping to get some working examples to model after.

That system appears to get $350 for a setup fee, $1700 for the actual software/site, and $99 continuity. Since I am testing the waters this one site is an excuse to learn how to setup and deploy the software while garnering a reference (and testimonial with any luck).

I agree that that market is reaching fairly high. My plan is to avoid the listing details for now and focus on other important functions like CRM, list marketing, and easy contact ("tap to call"). Such items are likely reusable for less complicated business setups (e.g. plumbers, etc.) and having landed even one agent should present good to a less sophisticated prospect.

While I do get that I should not compete on price alone, the recommendation for the first several small sites is and price point of $500 to build and $50 a month, which is an even lower bar to manage expectations from.

Thanks so much for the time and interest,

Brett
