I'm looking for a mobile script that will validate my mobile site with a 100% pass score, anyone please?

W3C mobileOK Checker

I have a few scripts but its only giving 85-88 score I need 100%

    Mahalo,

    1. Just wondering why 100% is so important to you? I'm not saying you shouldn't strive for it but just wondering why? Is it primarily as a selling point?

    2. The easiest way is to look through the validation results and see what you are currently doing wrong. I use templates that can validate at 100% but they don't all the time simply because as soon as your page is over 20kb in size you will lose points and it won't validate at 100%. This means if you have a logo on your homepage it is VERY hard to keep it under 20kb with all the html, css, and images included.

So you have to decide what you want. A site that validates at 100% and has very basic graphics and layout or a site that validates over 90% and can still have a nice looking graphic and layout?

Ah ok I've learned something new today like everyday. I just figured that finding a script that gives 100% is a no worry's after that. I guess its not as important as validating a normal website for seo purposes.

      Thanks WillR

Exactly. I mean I could hand out to a bunch of people a template that validated at 100% but you could bet your bottom dollar that by the time they had customized the template with their own content, etc, a lot of them would not be validating at 100% anymore. They would be close but not spot on.

I think if you can get anything over 90% then you are doing very well and that's exactly what I would tell my clients. Like a lot of things in life it's a juggling act. You want to get the highest validation you can whilst also keeping the site looking nice.

If you would like to get as close as you can get to 100%, I would suggest Will's template. I validated 96%.

Yep it is good untill you add stuff especially anything to do with a google apps as that will drop it down considerably.

This blue liquid html template validates at 99% and I think that most times it is easy to get this without content

Here's a little tip. If you are just wanting to show clients that their mobile sites validate nice and high, you need only really concentrate on the homepage. That's the ONLY page the W3C validator or any other validator is actually scoring when you type in the location of your mobile site. It's only scoring whatever page you type in, NOT the whole mobile website.

So it's ok to have some pages with images and other bits and pieces that might lower your validation but just make sure you concentrate on keeping the homepage nice and simple so it validates nice and high. Perception is reality.
