Thanks for the share. I've been collecting all those printed QR Codes lately (door-hangers, postcards, newspaper ads, etc.) from local business for my go-to list for future client calls.

So many of them take you to a site that is not at all good for mobile. It always surprises me, but hey, there's a possible customer when you fine one ;-)

What puzzles me is people using them on websites. Why, what's the reason for it, so people can scan it with their phone and then go to another page of same site on their phone?!

For many reasons one might wish to do this.
          for example
a site owner might sell a certain product locally. They could provide a qr code with a google map link to show the user how to get to their place of business. The user scans the code on the website with their mobile and bang theres the map to the place of business for them to folllow.

The potential for QR codes is endless. I think a well designed print ad with a QR code leading to an even better mobisite can be so effective. A static image can be brought to life by including a QR code that leads to an animation of the image. The QR code animated tattoo comes to mind here.
