I thought I saw on Engadget.com that Apple said they didn't have that software on their phones.

| Apple Ditched Carrier IQ with iOS 5 "We stopped supporting Carrier IQ with iOS 5 in most of our products and will remove it completely in a future software update. With any diagnostic data sent to Apple, customers must actively opt-in to share this information, and if they do, the data is sent in an anonymous and encrypted form and does not include any personal information. We never recorded keystrokes, messages or any other personal information for diagnostic data and have no plans to ever do so." |

Surely someone can take the proof to the FBI and they should have a look into it?

Monitoring your activities is harmless dear citizen. We must do these things to protect you. Let's just consider a short review of other harmless activity. NSA systems at Ft. Meade monitor, listen, scan, and review all electronic communications. Carnivore was one program that took some heat, but they just rename, reconfigure and carry on. In the next few years, all new vehicles manufactured are required by law to have built-in GPS satellite tracking devices. http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/R41663.pdf http://www.keepyoursecrets.com/Secret/secfrm_00gps.html It's been revealed that OnStar can monitor cars and conversations even after drivers turn it off or cancel the service. A national medical record database system for U.S. citizens was already in development at Ft. Detrick long before Obama's National Health Care System even passed. Banking transactions are monitored and recorded. Deposits, payments, or transfers of $5,000 or more are required to be reported directly to the IRS. Of course, no banking is permitted without a government issued identification number to track your activity. U.S. Postal Service and private mail box services are required to verify and document and your government identification and 911 address for most mail services. The advanced 911 address system documents your residence on a grid map database. Passports for international travel are being deployed with RFID chips that can be detected and read by radio signals. DARPA has developed nano-technology, insect cyborg, and micro-drones equipped with cameras and microphones. Hybrid Insect Micro Electromechanical Systems (HI-MEMS) IOPscience - Energy scavenging from insect flight Insect and micro-drones were first observed in 2007 at protest rallies in New York and Washington, D.C.; suspected to have been deployed by Department of "Homeland Security." And of course our lovely mobiles are tracked by GPS to save us from ourselves if we need to call 911. We already know iPhones and iPads track and log locations. Apple’s Secret Location File: Is it Just About Cell Towers? — SiliconFilter Your ISP tracks and records all online activity. Google of course tracks and records everything. I love their cozy relationship with national intelligence agencies. Amazing how they got that advanced satellite technology for Google maps. Quid pro quo? Technology is indeed a two-edged sword. Welcome to America. Land of the Free. Home of the Brave. "They who would give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin |

Yeah - this is really scary stuff. I know most of us have nothing to hide, but that's not the point. I don't know about you, but I do not know a single person who has read through every word of the tiny user agreement that loads on their phone upon start up. They claim it is for "product development" and that monitoring the user experience will enhance it all around for everyone.....it's only a matter of time before they can monitor you through your cell phone camera. |
