I want to start marketing to doctors, dentists, and chiropractors and sell them my SMS Appointment Reminder service. I belong to Send Out Cards and they have a greeting card that has "Remember Your Appointment" on the front (it's a nice design) and here's what I was going to put inside. ------------------------------------------- Dear Dr. _____, Are your customers forgetting about their appointments? Are you wasting your time making appointment reminder phone calls only to leave a message on an answering machine? Are you wasting money sending appointment reminder postcards? If you said YES to any of these questions then you're losing money....and that's not good. Call me at 800-555-1212 and I'll show you how you can stop that madness and put money back in your pocket. Mike ---------------------------------------- I'm hoping that since it's a greeting card, it will more likely get opened. But what do you think about the message inside? Any thoughts or ideas? Should I also include a website address, landing page, or something like that or just try to get them to call me back? |

Also, you can give them an option to see the service in action by telling them to either call or text you. This way they can see how it works!

Hey Mike, I'm an SOC user myself so I think I know the card your talking about and think it could be a great one to use. As for your offer for drs to call you, just my personal opinion, but I'd probably hesitate to call knowing a sales pitch was waiting on the other end. On the other hand, if you asked me to call for a risk free trial of your system and added some urgency by saying you can only work with xx number of dentists this month, that would make me more likely to pick up the phone Just my two cents, but it's worth trying a few different approaches to see what works best for you. Cheers, Steve |

I see a few issues here. 1. My personal opinion is that they will get the postcard and think THAT (sending reminder postcards) is the method you are planning on selling to them. Even though you have said it's not about postcards I don't think it will register. After all, if appointment postcards don't work then why would you be using it to advertise your service to them? Your message doesn't flow. 2. The person who reads that postcard is most likely just going to be some receptionist who's collected the mail and knowing from my own personal experience when I used to collect mail at an old job, all that promotional crap just went straight into the bin and I never passed it on to any of the people it was addressed to. In fact most of them told me they didn't want any of that stuff passed on to them. |

Thanks for the replies everyone. As for Send Out Cards, I'm just starting to use them and I think they're ok. It takes longer for a customer to receive the greeting card from Send Out Cards than it does if you just mail it yourself (locally), but they have a ton of designs for various industries. As for reaching these dentists, doctors, chiropractors, etc, what's the best way to do that? Would it be ok to just do a "walk-in" and speak to the receptionist first then leave some info? Should I send an email? Some offices have a few doctors in them. Is there usually one that's in charge or do they all have to approve things? Thanks. Mike |
