Questions about mobile script I'm going to ask what is probably a rudimentary question, but since I'm new to the mobile world, here it goes;;) I know that there is script that tells a website whether or not you are on a mobile phone. I know I could find this script if I looked hard enough, however my question about it something quite different. How does the script know where to send the viewer? In other words, Lets say I'm working on a mobile site, and I am not the webmaster for the computer based site and have no access to it. However the existing webmaster has agreed to put this script on it. Would I need to get a .mobi so the original site would know where to go, or does it not matter? I was thinking of just creating a subdomain of my own site for this with their name but I don't know if that would confuse the script. (They are not worried about SEO). Would this work? |
Re: Questions about mobile script You can place the mobile site anywhere. The redirect script just tells the device where to redirect the mobile user - the exct adress. Regards, Marian Quote:
