Steps of Mobile Marketing?

I want to know all the steps of mobile marketing for a website and how it is different to the normal SEO we do for the businesses.

Don't know too much about the steps to mobile marketing - but I do know that if you're planning to get into it, make sure that you abide by all the Acts - namely Do Not Call Register, SPAM and Privacy.

If not, you can get into a whole lot of trouble!

Mobile Marketing and SEO - two different things!

Marketing - Show benefits, include local search stats on mobile devices via Google Analytics - show what a website looks like if it "isn't" optimised for mobile and ask them if they would buy from this site - then show them what an optimised site looks like - a dummy of their site I find works a treat.

SEO - similar stuff to main site SEO - couple of things different and always make sure your site checks out with W3C W3C mobileOK Checker Worth checking this as well :- Official Google Webmaster Central Blog: Making Websites Mobile Friendly
You need Google to recognise your site is specifically for mobile - that way it will show in the mobile SERPS - and not be classed as a normal website.

Is there anyone using ringback services as a way of advertising your business? On your company phone or else. I would be interested to know someone else´s opinion since I find it an interesting service but I am not entirely convinced. Do you think it would cause some customers to be annoyed by the message?
Anybody can suggest some companies that provide infrastructure for such a service? I have found this: http://www.ect-ringback.com/ but I´m interested in some more too so I can compare the offer.

I was just on holidays over Christmas and wished more people had mobile sites as it was very frustrating trying to find things to do etc just on my mobile.

So No 1 would be get a mobile website

No2 would be add the basic info, maps, contact numbers and some general info and any specials.

No3 is to make sure you have good keywords in the mobile website

No 4 is add it to google and other search engines.

No5 is add the mobile site to brochures etc
