Print to Profits (The Art of Bridging Print & Internet Marketing)

Hey, so I'm really obsessed with marketing. It's kind of become an obsession. I'm sure you can relate if you're on the warrior forum. I never thought of myself as a marketer until this past year.

I was an "internet marketer" or "affiliate marketer"...well... sure. But, I never thought of myself as an actual marketer. I was more attracted to the internet lifestyle...you know the get rich while you sit in your pajamas program.

I'm pretty sure I have in my closet right now some bull**** course called the "Pajama Millionaire" claiming to teach me how to make millions while in my pajamas.

Yea...so I bought a lot of crap, and in retrospect I have no idea what came over me to buy these courses.... but I digress...

Needless to say i'm still in the game and I'm happy to say I'm making money doing it....and yes...I do work in my pajamas.

So what I really want to share with you is a new idea I'm working on. You see, I believe in the art of collaboration. So, I hope that this approach to mobile marketing will work for you and if it does please let me know so I can implement whats working for you in your business into my business.

Print to Profits (The Art of Bridging Print & Internet Marketing)

So we all know that QR codes are what everyone's been talking about lately. We all know that mobile marketing is the future. I don't want to get into all of that...

What I do want to talk about is the opportunity to make money on the upswing. I live in L.A. California in the US. I see thousands of marketing pieces daily. But the amount of businesses properly leveraging QR codes in their marketing is extremely small.

I see QR codes as one of the biggest marketing opportunities of the next 2 years...and let me give you a story on how I used this with overwhelming success...

I approached a local club in my city about helping them out with some marketing. They were having a big Halloween party they wanted to promote. What I did was put a QR code on all of their print marketing materials.

On the print marketing I gave people an incentive to scan the QR code by offering an exclusive mobile video trailer (it was just a video trailer the club had already made to promote their party)

When the Qr code was scanned it went to a mobile landing page with a squeeze page. The squeeze page asked for their name and email to access the video. Once they entered their name and number it took them to the the second page which had their video. At the end of the video I made a sales offer to them. I had the club promoter thank them for watching the video and to show appreciation to them he was going to offer them a one time only 50% discount to the show and the offer was only valid for one hour. Underneath the video was a buy now button with a countdown timer set for 1 hour.

What we did was inject scarcity and exclusivity into the offer... They ended up selling out that show.

I walked away with a cool 6 grand. Because I had negotiated a percentage of sales I generated and a portion of the alcohol sales for the night...

Now I have been experimenting with how to generate leads using this technique with local businesses.

I haven't started doing it yet but I fully expect to have at least sold by the end of this week (even though today as I'm writing this it's Christmas day...)

Here is my strategy. I just purchased this software called Squeze Page Samurai. I highly recommend purchasing it. It's being sold through the warrior forum. I'm not even an affiliate (although I should be) to this product.

This software Squeeze Page Samurai is awesome. It's a mobile squeeze page template. Think Optimizepress but mobile.

My strategy is to target companies that are already doing print marketing in their business. I am going to email them and show them that by adding a QR code to their print ads they can start generating direct leads through their print! It's like combining print marketing with direct response marketing with internet marketing!

Check out my mobile squeeze page I made... http://socialmediasyndicate.com/generatemoresales/

let me know what you guys think...

Awesome stuff! A ton of our white label customers are doing your exact strategy and #winning so to say! haha Great work -- i love the idea of working for free and just negotiating % of business! Absolutely great idea

Im going to add that strategy to our site in the the enterprise / suggestions area if you dont mind. Great stuff here --- merry christmas and, you just might be onto something there --- think about automating and scaling that idea

Keep rockin and rolling. Im from LA by the way -- w00t w00t West Coast haha

Great idea! here is a question - can the QR code be re-directed to another vid later or will always have to make a new QR code for each new event. I am thinking that they could keep the code on all the print material but you could change where it went as needed.

Growing older but not up!

Hey thanks @Bonn... @Rugman your QR code is going go to one URL. If you want to use the same QR code for diferent events then you either need to create a new landing page and a new QR code or you can use the same qr code and same landing page but after each even you will just need to put the new information for the new event.

My hopes is that for each event they will hire me to create a new campaign for them. I don't want them to recycle the QR codes HAHA!

You could create a generic URL that the QR Code sends to and then just do a re-direct from that URL to the latest event page URL.

Or just use a qr code service that lets you specify a re-direct url if and when needed. That way you can always update the qr-code as needed. Takes 5 seconds.

Like Aermud said don't want them to recycle the QR codes. More $$$ with a new campaign. But it's useful if you are giving out some super special 25% off one day discount then you could always re-direct it after the day is over to another squeeze page with other deals.

QR Codes - That's where it's at!

I think it's best to target to students - they have the most knowledge of what a QR Code is - or in their eyes, what a barcode looking thing does.

The other generations haven't caught up yet
