I want to add some sort of free report to my website to start building a list for my mobile business (mobile websites and SMS marketing). I'm not sure if I should create a report that's full of stats and why they should start considering adding mobile marketing to their business. Or should the report contain some mobile marketing strategies that might get them thinking how they could start a mobile marketing strategy (using my services of course). Or should it be something different than either of those? For those of you offering a free report of some kind, what's basically in your reports? Thanks. Mike |

Mike, I wouldn't just use a report that's full of stats because it's not very interesting for the end user. What I would do is once again focus on what small business owners want -- more money and more customers. Push their hot buttons. I would use an angle like... "If I could show you how to increase your sales by 50% without increasing your marketing budget, would you be interested?" Then you can create a short report that talks about the effectiveness of re-marketing to your current customers and how it's cheaper and more effective than always going after new customers. This would lead right into sms marketing. Once you have them interested in sms marketing you could upsell them into a mobile website, etc. |
