QR CRAZY.....Where can I get.....

Hi all,

I am going to be doing some custom qr codes and I have seen some really great ones on here which include color and logo.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I might find this kind of generator of software. Happy to pay for it, was just hoping a fellow warrior may have one before I google !!!!

Thanks.

Karen.

Create URL - mQR

or try using Photo editor online - Pixlr.com edit image to customise qr code. I believe there is a WSO for creating 3D QR codes, or just play around with pixlr until you get the hang of it.

for the best in tracking, try Login

good luck

Phil

You can obscure up to 30% of the QRcode with a image you want, as for coloring the code itself some older scanners wont read some colors that well in certain light or at all.

Hi Karen

I use Quick QR software to make color QR codes.

You can get it on eBay for $17... QR CODE GENERATOR for Android, emails,ME cards,URL's,SMS texts QuickQR Software | eBay

It also comes with Master Resell Rights so you can re-sell it to!

Hope this helps!

Wow they look amazing and are a massive improvement over normal QR codes, I wish I knew how to make them myself :)

Hi Karen

Update on my last post!
If you only need the QR code software to generate QR codes and don't plan to re-sell it then save yourself some cash and visit www.fiverr.com where you can get 2 or 3 different types of QR code software for just $5!

If you want to create QR codes there is no need for any software at all. Just use one of the many free online QR code generators. My favorite is this one:

QR Code Generator from the ZXing Project

Hi Karen

If you don't want to your own copy of a QR code software program then I recommend you check out the free online black/white AND color QR code generator at www.qrstuff.com

The ZXing Project QR code mentioned in post #11 does not generate colour QR codes.

I prefer having my own QR code software installed on my PC, which means I can generate QR codes whenever I want without having to connect to the internet.

Like I mentioned in my previous post the cheapest color QR code software programs that I know of are on www.fiverr.com.

What I did was bring the QR Code into Adobe Illustrator, trace and expand, then ungroup, from there you can play with colors. Draw a box round it and send the box to the back and change the colors of the box for the background (I like playing with gradients) when you are satisfied with the colors, select all and group, then start placing the logo and scanning the code with your phone to find what I call the "sweet spot" (The place on the QR Code where the logo still lets the code scan. When you find it, group everything to log it in place and then resize to the size you need. Always rescan the code with each change to make sure it is still a valid code. Then export to format you need. I have examples I did in the QR Code showcase.
If you don't have adobe Illustrator, you might try looking for open source software that does vector graphics.
Hope that helps!
Suzanne

Wow...that was quite techy! You can do the same with Photoshop too.
One question I'd like to as is...assuming you don't have a smartphone (Iphone, Blackberry...etc) and the design of your QR is completed, how do you perform a scan? Is there a tool or software that enables one to scan the QR code to find out if it is correctly done?
Hope you guys get my drift???;)

Hey MagicAce, I've been meaning to ask this question for some time now and I think you're the right person to answer this. As you can see, I'm domiciled in Africa, Ghana to be precise and really interested in going into Mobile Site Design, however I'm not sure how I can provide SMS services to local businesses in overseas countries like the USA, UK, Canada and others.

Don't ask me to start here though cos this new technology has not reached here yet.
So do you think it's possible for me to start this business and target countries overseas?
I asked this same question in another thread and yet to get me some answers...please enlighten us...thanks again.:D

Hey,

Sorry but I'm not very familiar with sms marketing. Only with mobile websites. And I'm building them for warriors tough I want to try sell some myself.

I'm asking myself the same questions about sms marketing.
