Howdy I have a big list of every purchaser of my product, ever, and I have their phone numbers that I can import into this SMS plugin that I have. If I blasted a large list of people, is there any illegal issues with it? I'd like to blast them a CPA offer where they just complete a survey or something. |

I think if you get a lot of complaints you are going to have a problem. Services like Trumpia allow you to import a list of contacts, but if these people did not request text messages and don't have unlimited plans they will be charged for each one. The phrase "normal text rates apply" is usually part of the page where they would opt in. I would send them an email, offer a free gift or discount for opting in with their cell phone number, and then they won't be surprised when you start texting them. I don't know if it's legal or not, but it is certain to generate a lot of complaints which could end your mobile marketing sms contract. |

Spam is the word and death is the result. I don't eat at McDonalds, so I surely would hate to start working there

1) It's Spam if these people havent opted in for the Offer 2) Expect to get sued and/or have your ISP shut you down. Carriers charge for access to the backbone for sending SMS. If you aren't authorized to do so and aren't paying for the privilege, it can get you criminally charged for "Theft of Services" | |

This is a big no. Coming from a company that also specializes in Mobile compliance, this is not a good idea. First, like other have stated. The people on this list have had to opted in to our text message service. Also, you need to have a way for people to opt out once it is sent. If not, you will be considered a spammer and be blocked by your service provider.
