Charge what your market will bear, that will probably involve testing different pricing packages. Just start....... you can adjust as you go!

Look up Jason Fladlien or Will Matsos. They did a WebInar last week where they explained how "Their" Mobile Program brings them $500 initially and $50/mo from EVERY client they create a Mobile Site for. Jason explains how he starts by going after biznesses that have "Flash" on their websites....showing them that "Flash" does NOT show on "Apple" phones. Don Alm |

Yes I agree take note of what the area demands but dont start lower than $295 and do hosting also at $50 /month including maintenance.

How you setup your different packages will also help or hinder your success: I wrote about this in another thread; http://www.warriorforum.com/offline-...ould-help.html |

Hi, Thats all nice advice, but i see a lot of competitors in my country who offer more functionalities on mobile sites than we can build with our simple wso mobile sitebuilders. And they are running the prices down to $149 setups and $10 a month plans even with free .mobi domains. So i think that by the end of the year the competition will be killing eachother off with crazy prices and specialties like apps and advanced tracking, local push, m-commerce shoppingcarts etc.. But hey, i`m still planning on offering them 5 page mobile websites with oh goodie: qrcodes ! lol Charles. |

There are plenty of people around who have been offering the same sort of deals with regular websites for years. The truth is a lot of business owners still go and pay thousands of dollars to get their websites built. Cheap isn't always good and will often lead a client to believe the service is inferior. Don't be afraid to charge what your service is worth. There are always people who will pay it. | |

I started out giving "simple" mobile sites away and charging a small fee to host them. Got a resellers account at Hostgator and used their free built-in billing system for a hands off system. Also get more work for changes and such plus lots of referrals. Certainly not for everyone, but can get your foot in the door. |

I live in a small town (less than 1200) and noticed on the C of C bulletin board an ad for a 3 page website for $399. The ad made it very clear this did not include hosting or a domain name. The samples were of WordPress sites. It is a lot easier to have a sale and lower your prices than it is to find that you were charging too little and to raise your prices.

I've been charging $397 for a 3 page site and $597 for a 5 page site. Seems to be working.

I have to agree with most everyone on here... it is what your market will bear... I live in seattle and there is a lot of small companies and bigger companies that still charge $2500 to build a 3-5 page site... but if your market is somewhat educated at least technically then you might find some resistance to higher pricing... But there are still many small business owners who have no clue the cost to build a 3-5 page brochure type website... I would always provide as much value as you can and your business will grow.. it is when you try to charge is as much as you can and do as little as you can that bad things will happen in your business... meaning you will have a harder time getting clients instead of an easier time... believe me it gets easier as you get more happy clients Mike |

I suggest you to start from your lowest price and as clients appreciate your work, you can convince them to pay you more on quality of your work.

What if there was a way to get...local, SMALL pizza shops....to pay YOU... A "Buck a Room, every month" for every MOTEL you work with. I'm talkin' the "scurviest or the scurviest" motel in YOUR area! Let's say there are 5, Low-Class...ULTRA Scurvy MOTELS in your area and each of them have 30 rooms...a Total of 150 rooms. There IS A WAY....to get small, local Pizza Joints (or even ONE small pizza joint) to pay YOU....$1 a month per room! $150 a Month!...forever!...from ONE pizza joint! Now....WHY would that Pizza Joint be willing to pay little ol' YOU....a buck a room...every single month? Because the Small Pizza Joint is going to be delivering a MINIMUM of TEN Pizzas a Month to those motel rooms. So...do some research and find out HOW MANY....Scuzzy-Scurvy motels there are in your area (Actually...Super 8, Motel 6, Comfort Inns, Best Westerns and Holiday Inn Express....are also Prime Prospects) Then...multiply by their rooms by $1 and this is what little ol' YOU could be collecting...every month!
