Redirect Without Access to WP

I have a client that I (fellow Warrior) designed a mobile website for. We have FTP access, but no Wordpress access. We need to add the redirect code. He said the company that designed the desktop site (years ago) went out of business and he has no contact information for them.

What are my options?

Do I have options?

I always feared this would happen.

Thank you for any/all advice

Excellent opportunity for you to offer to re-design the current site. I can't imagine any business who wants to keep a site that they can't manage.. it is like being on a boat with no captain or anyone at the helm.. You can copy all the current content and keep the same links.. everybody wins!

You can contact the host. Explain the situation and they can direct you on how to reset the username and password.

It is simple.

add this to your function.php for the active theme - directly after the first <?php

PHP Code:

wp_set_password('password',1);

Go to your login page and login with

username: admin
password: password

Dont forget to delete the changes you made else it will continually keep resetting your password to password!

For more options take a look at this page:

Thank you Mr. Moreno! I really do appreciate it and had a feeling you'd know the answer.

no probs! :)

if the username isnt admn - then follow the WP instructions for phpmyadmin, most decent hosts should provide you with access to phpmyadmin via the control panel

hope you get it resolved!

Cheers,

Jay
