Hi, Patty !

Sam England has a developed a course aimed exactly at that - I bought it but haven't had time to go through it yet... pretty thorough though. I hope this helps.

Hello Hal, thanks for the info. Is this a WSO that Sam offers? Also can you recommend any other excellent courses on Mobile marketing?

Thank-you!

CJ has a program for pay per call. I'm just getting started with it, but I would think something like it could be set up for local businesses. You would have to use virtual numbers that forward to their main business number.

Check into Twilio, they have local numbers for $1 per month and you can use OpenVBX to build simple apps that will direct the call to where you want it to go, even send you a text message and store the number in a database when someone calls the number. I've done this with some affiliate offers with recorded voice messages while building an SMS list at the same time.

I did it a lot in 2010, then it died out. Now it seems to be making a comeback and I'm back into it.

Pay per call is awesome, but buying mobile traffic and sending it to mobile optimized pages works very well too.

You do not have to run click to call campaigns strictly with pay per call offers either. It's really open that way typically.

The only issue is there is a very small collection of pay per call offers out there at the moment. CJ has 100 I think and other networks have 40 or so offers total to pick from.

I looked into this. Wasn't for me and didn't fit my business model. From what I've heard its becoming popular again and there's money to be made.

Sam England did a WSO in October 2011 called Pay Per Call Goldmine which I bought and thought was quite good, but it's off the WF now. It might be on Clickbank. It's cpa using phone numbers instead of email submits. I haven't used it because I was sidelined from anything for health reasons, but it's on my radar for later this year. Check out IM Report Card for reviews on Mobile Money Bandit. My impression is that it's pretty expensive for a mediocre product.

The refund rate on Mobile Money Bandit is pretty high.

I haven't done Mobile Money Bandit, but we have before developed some decent call center projects. At the moment, the biggest "service" for this is RingRevenue but you have to access the Pay Per Call offers through one of the cpa networks that usses RingRevenue. On their site, they have several companies you can join up. One that we are partnered up with is Offerweb. They have some solid PPCall offers.

The problem with Pay Per Call is it's very, very difficult to get approved for many services. I had to get a person on the phone at the client(Service Magic) to get approved. He helped me mold my site to make it to where it would work within their guidelines, and ironically enough it wasn't anywhere near what they stated they wanted.

That's the problem with CJ is you get approved or not approved with very little feedback.

I had a client who ran a pretty popular site on virus removal techniques yet got summarily denied from a CJ CPA offer for a virus program. No explanation other than site doesn't meet requirements or something like that.

Pay per call or Lead gen with local businesses can be very profitable. Shoemoney had a pretty good post about it back in 2008. It still holds true.

Hi,

Haven't heard of Pay Per Call. Is this technique effective and how's it done? Wanna know more about this. Has anyone ever experienced this? Curious.

Gettng approved is actually easier than you think but what you need to remember is that these companies like CJ / RingRevenue and any others are not the only resources for doing Pay Per Call. You in fact actually do not need them at all and can become creative within your own strategies. We have various callers who do pay per call projects without using RingRevenue whatsoever. Before we even found out about CJ's Pay Per Call and the other networks who host these type of offers; we were just going to a company themselves. If you have decent negotiation skills, you can easily find your own advertiser that you want to work with and come up with a solution to transfer calls over. We in fact are doing that with 2 advertisers right now. One within the business cash advance vertical, and another one within the debt settlement vertical. And doing it this way, you can create your own custom pricing structure. Pay Per Transfer, Closing of the lead, % of upfront cost, etc.

I really dont like CJ much because of the high rejection rate whenever we apply for offers. The same does not happen with shareasale network or linkshare.

I got a few $75 pay-per-call commissions from Danmer Custom Shutters over at SAS. I'm now removed from their program and have no idea why, but whatever

I now have a $150 commission from a lending company that will lock on 3/20. Hopefully the lead was good!

I'd go with the big paying programs. Getting one good lead for $75 is so much easier than getting 50 qualifying calls that only pay $1.50 each.

Hello,
I don't know if this is a little late for you, but maybe it will help others. On the subject of pay per call and mobile money bandit - there is an interview with the creator on Itunes. He was interviewed on Affiliate Marketing Today and the name of the episode is Pay Per Call and Mobile Marketing. It is free in iTunes. Its informative and the sales pitch does not come until the end

"Pay per call? what this mean?"

It basically means you will get paid a commission every time you send a "qualified" lead through a telephone number. Qualified call can mean different things to different companies. Previously mentioned companies, CJ, Share-a-sale have companies in their programs that will give you a special phone number you can promote to have people call to earn a commission.
I had a hard time with qualified calls for a program I was in, had several calls but none qualified.

I am hearing first time about Pay per calling, have clear some doubts regarding this service. But is this better for gathering interested customers towards products selling? I don't find appropriate answer on this query till now.

I own MedScript Express we are an Advocacy Agency which helps those in hardship to receive their medications at No Cost sponsored by the Pharma Companies and we have Virtual Work at Home Call Center where we do a Survey about our Prescription Program and then use the Pay Per Call Program to get the callers interest in our marketing partners products and services and then we transfer the caller and stay on the line for the required duration of say 30 or 90 seconds to make sure we get the credit for that successful call transfer. It's not big pay for us but still helps us pay our agents.

I used the CJ pay per call program and tried five to ten different offers using click to call ads in mobile apps. I tried both national and local campaigns. The local campaigns worked the best with the national ad campaigns getting $0 in return. The local ad campaigns showed promise the first day with $1 in ad spend getting a $7 commission. After that, no more commissions. Overall, I was not too excited about the pay per call results using PPC ads to generate traffic. That said, using a squeeze page with several related pay per call offers or a better approach in terms of a local and personal sales pitch might work. Trying it out yourself is the best way to find out if you can make a system that will work!
