SMS marketing combing with mobile marketing

Hi there,

this post is going to get half way posted to the html forum as well.

I have this idea (probably many of you).

I want to offer a new service. SMS marketing.

Instead or as a plus to "tap to call" I would like something like "tap to subscribe" or a toggle that opens up and says:

Want to get a free <thing> then SMS <keyword> to <99991>.

Basically what I want now?

1. A confirmation SMS gets out.

2. Client confirms with <subscribe> to <99991>. (even nicer: subscribe with email address like sundrop - I am not sure if there is a real time validation that checks if the email address really exists...)

3. Restaurant gets a unique code, email or sms that confirms that a NEW client just subscribed.

4. Client gets free <thing>. (Eventually a SMS that says: Show this SMS to waitress to get 20% off / free <thing>.)

The number 3 is the tricky part and is the question for this subforum:

How to make sure that the client didn't received the SMS already a week before and just shows the Code/ SMS again?

The best think would be if the client gets a generic code and the waitress typ it in the computer (or get it off a list) to make sure that the mobile number, email address don't exists already.

But to make things easier: what is the best and easiest way to go?

It's very simple actually. Change out the coupon code every week so it's not the same as the week before.

You also need to remember that someone coming along to use your 20% off coupon code again is paying you 80%. So would you rather have that person come in and pay 80% or not have them come in at all?

Honestly there are things in life that are so simple but you would never think of.

Btw I am going to buy your WSO "my mobile business". Seems that you know what you are talking about.

Best thing to do is have a coupon code generator. Whenever somebody approaches the restaurant with a coupon code, the restaurant can validate this code with the coupon generator. If the customer ever tries to use the coupon code again, the system will tell the restaurant that the coupon was used on a specific date and time. You should really look into this, it is very easy and efficient.
