If You Had it to do All Over Again...

What would you do different in your Internet/Mobile Marketing business?

I'm pretty green still although I have learned a lot over the last 12 months. I have a Papa Murphy's and a Baskin Robbins location both north of Dallas that I provide SMS marketing for.

I have helped my pizza owner create about 850 active opt ins in a little over 2 and a half months. It's been a problem integrating with his current marketing because it is done at the regional level.

I'm trying and should know in a few days if I am going to get the Dallas area region. It would be about 30 locations so I'm crossing my fingers.

The best campaigns I have run for my Pizza shop owner produced 9.5% redemption rate on the offer.

I'm trying to learn and get my income up as quick as I can like a lot of us.

I got Quentin's script and I've just completed my first mock up site so I am trying to expand my knowledge and this forum has really helped a lot.

I am curious to hear from some vets or anyone, if you had it to do over again, what would you focus on learning first and then after?

There are so many things to learn, I know you all know, I think it would help to hear what you guys think about if you had it to do over again.

Thanks beyond words to the ones that give so much to the forum. It's been a tremendous resource and will continue to be for me.

I couldn't be more excited about the opportunity we all have with the internet and now mobile.

I'm committed to becoming a master marketer at the soonest possible time and look forward to the tremendous benefits this will bring.

Well that's pretty much it for my hello I'm new to the forum post.

Thanks again,

David

Dave, I have done quite well for myself throughout the year I have been offering SMS to businesses and in fact, hope to be at part time with my 9-5 in a few months and by end of year will be just a CEO of my own marketing company. That being said, a couple things I would do differently is, I focused at first with corporations and large industries which the pay off took quite a while to come so I would change my focus to the small businesses and franchises. Hope this helps and best of luck to you in getting going.

If i knew what i did now i obviously wouldn't do any of my mistakes but assume i don't know what i do now, i wouldn't change a thing because i needed to learn from those mistakes and learn i have :)

my simple answer would be not make the same mistakes again. But sometimes without making those mistakes you wouldn't know what to do different next time........

Its like the student interviewing the bank president for a school project.
Why did they choose you to be the bank president?
Becsuse I don't make mistakes.
Why don't you make mistakes?
Because I have a lot of experiance.
How did you get your experiance?
By making mistakes.
