Newbie here and needs help - Love You folks already!
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I am new to this forum, or any for that matter, having joined just yesterday. I have been into marketing since 1993. You people here are awesome for sharing ideas, knowledge, etc., I can't seem to leave here now. Wish I would have learned of this forum long ago. I am looking forward to developing a relationship with so many of you and sharing my knowledge as well. Having gotten the mushy stuff out of the way, let me move on.

Recently I have become very interested in learning to build websites and SEO. I am most interested in learning about designing mobile sites and SMS. Where do I begin, other than to continue on here in this forum? Are there any "business in a box for dummies" here so I could jump in and get started while learning that anyone would recommend I get? I am just dying to get my feet wet. I am very experienced in print and graphics but this stuff is all new and exciting so what route should I take?

Thanks

Look up Quentin and Will's programs. That's how I got my start, and recommend both.

I do voice over work... here's a SAMPLE

I am also new to the forum and recently purchased Will and Quentin's programs. Both are great products and should give you a good start.

Good luck!

I'm also new here. I have enjoyed designing several websites for myself, but was never interested in doing so for "clients" even with many telling me that I have talent and should.

But now with mobile I am becoming very interested in designing sites for clients. A few things interest me about them, I like clean simple, functional design mobile has to be like that. Also with mobile users can very likely be accessing the site while out living their live, even while at or near the place of business, not on a desktop at home or office. It gives a more immediate connection.

I got Will's program it looks good, what is Quentin's program anyone have a link for that?

Thanks,

David

Make sure you note the coupon code that Quentin has included in the first post. It saves you 50%.

I purchased Will's system and I love it... His templates are written in PHP. Is Quinten's different? I just looked at his site and it looks as though his is nothing like Will's at all. Is his script written in HTML? I think his video said you can put page together in photoshop (which would be great for me since my background consists mainly of graphics in photoshop and page layout in pagemaker). Then his magical script is pasted to the page and shrinks everything to fit a phone? This sounds totally different and would allow a person to be much more creative if I am understanding him correctly. Someone tell me if these two systems are totally different like I think they sound... If so I must buy Quinten's now also!

Thanks,
Ed

The two systems are different. Quentin now has a wordpress offer as well I believe, but I learned from the html one. And, there's no "magic" script that makes everything automatically fit into place.... there are some tweaks that need to be made, but Quentin explains them all. I like his system for the creative aspect, like you mentioned. It's well worth the investment. It's not that much at all, and he provided many video tutorials as well. You can take a look at some of the sites I've designed at my sample page. Just click on my sig link. Hope that helps.

That is was I thought and thank you soooo much for the confirmation. I will be purchasing it tomorrow for sure now. I really appreciate the look at the awesome samples. I want to be able to have those different looks. Is there anyway you know of to do mobile site for an e-commerce business?

Thank you & God Bless

there is a link to Will's program... You will not be dissappointed. I would recommend that you get Quinten's program for doing mobile websites as well... They are very different so you will learn a lot from both of them.
