| Do you manage your client’s SMS campaigns, or do you give your clients the login info to manage them themselves? Also, for those of you who have clients using SMS for appointment confirmations, how do your clients like it after a couple months? Thanks. Rich |

| No replies.... Ok - let me try the question this way -- Do you manage your client's campaigns yourself? If so, does this include appointment type campaigns? |

Well, I've just started myself but I have it hybrid-ish at the moment for my 1 client (woot!). I have it set up so he can text the number from his personal phone and it will immediately blast his list. If he needs to schedule a blast, I'll get that set up for him as long as I have 24 hour notice prior to the time he wants the message sent. My client's niche doesn't involve appointment type campaigns, but if it did, at least with my current infrastructure, I'd have to manage appointments for him, but if he needed appointments, I'd probably work a way to let him do it on his own. Hope this answers your question. |

I don't know about appointment setting reminders, but I do manage my own sms services for the restaurants and bars that I work with. I want to be able to have complete control over my business. That way I do not have to train a client to eventually figure out how to do it for themselves. |

| Monte - I agree. I'm wondering about those who use SMS with businesses who do appointment reminders -- Because of the frequency in which they text, it might make more sense to train them to do it.... or charge them enough to manage it. |

You could set up an email address for appointments that they can send you, which you can upload in bulk on your own, or hire somebody to write a script for you that will do it automatically.

I would also be concerned about the office manager and hippa laws. | |

We, as mobile marketers, cannot upload the Appt Data...the Medical Office needs to do that. I actually called HHS and got clarification on this.

Talk about convenience, I was just googling around to try and find an answer about that. So as long as the medical office uploads the appt data it is HIPAA complient? Thanks again HypeText.
