Fed up with Mobile. What can I do with Jason Fladlins Mobile PRO
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi all,

well I am throwing in the towel on mobile marketing. I am just so frustrated with trying to get clients. Have done email, direct mail, and a sprinkle of cold calling.

I'm done.
Anyway, I purchased Jason Fladlins WPmobile pro in January. Cost $299. I have never even used it!!
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I could do with it? can I sell it?

thanks

KJ.

It sounds to me like what you are missing is critical training on HOW to present the benefits Mobile to prospective clients.

There are many earning a very nice living from it, so if you are having difficulty doing so then training is most likely the culprit.

Fact: Reading a WSO is NOT going to take the place of REAL training.

In fact, if you are going to sell mobile basing it upon one limited product and/or service, it is a recipe for disaster.

Giving up is the worst thing you can do. The fact is, mobile marketing works and there are a ton of people out there making money with it right now. If you are not making any money then it just means you are not doing things correctly. The only way to learn is to make the mistakes until you eventually figure things out and start making the money. But giving up will get you nowhere... fast!

How about joining the google engage program, which will allow you to offer google adwords vouchers to clients. Set them up a simple mobile website and then use the google adwords vouchers to target mobile users in the local area.

Having a mobile website will often give businesses a distinct advantage over competitors that are not mobile ready, with higher CTR, lower CPC costs and better ad positions.

You will no longer be selling a mobile website, but something that generates leads for clients.

You have to have people skills in order to get clients, which is the problem you are having, not being able to get clients. Good news is, you can develop these skills. You say you tried a "sprinkle" of cold calling? I'm sorry but "sprinkles" don't work around here. Go full on, talk to owner after owner, and trust me you'll get the hang of it and soon enough, you'll be reeling in clients.

+1

I started working for the company, i've been cold calling from day one, Ok i had a pitch which worked for them, day 1 i had 3 appointments! Then day to day was different, but in couple of weeks I was doing constantly 1-2 apointments a day! You just have to have the right set of mind for doing this job, i hated it, but now i find it interesting to win on the phone battles!

I know how you feel. I kinda felt the same a few weeks ago too. I regrouped and began to offer mobile as a small upsell to new business owners without websites.

Wow this is great advice and a genius idea! Small businesses don't care about a mobile site that looks pretty. They want a a mobile site that will bring in leads ($). Thanks for this.

Hey Karen...."GREAT" attitude!

Ya...right! Gimme a Break! You discover Warriors Forum and read some threads or buy a WSO or 2 or 3 and....WOWEE, WHOOPEE FIZZ!.....little ol' YOU can NOW....get business people to send YOU money!

Yeah Right!

However....MANY of us....who've been where you are now...."gave it a try BUT, nothing happened!".....chose to ....STAY WITH IT AND UNDERSTAND that...."I NEED MORE TRAINING AND UNDERSTANDING HOW....TO "SELL" THIS STUFF!"

My advice (after 30 yrs of trying to "sell MY stuff")....is based on the FUNDAMENTAL BASIS OF....."FIND OUT WHAT PEOPLE WANT, THEN, FIND A WAY TO "GET THEM TO BUY IT!"

So....Karen....you have "Not Yet PAID THE PRICE"! to find out HOW to "sell, what your target market....WANTS!

One WSO is NOT going to do IT for you! I'm sorry BUT....MUCH trial an error will be needed before YOU....reach those "Glorius Days" when people start "SENDING....YOU....MONEY...like all the "WSO Sellers"!

So....your "defeatist attitude" of...."giving up on this "internet thingee" is PRE-Mature! You need to "do your DUE-Diligence" and ....Study, Test, TRY....KEEP AT IT UNTIL YOU HIT IT!"

Don Alm....STILL "learning, Testing, Trying"

Hi Karen,

If you give up you threw away 299,- which would be well spend if you close a few clients.

We're at the start of mobile sites and selling an early adopt is most times very difficult because it isn't set in the mind of your suspects yet. So best way is to mix it up with things they DO KNOW already.

And stop trying to SELL and start HELPING TO BUY. Ask questions to find out their problems with their online marketing (mostly visitors) they dont see they need a mobile website yet. But they all need vistors to their site and visitors that convert. If its a local business like a restaurant give them a visual like telling them how you would look for a restaurant to eat when you're walking around town. No desktop with you only your phone right? Then you can explain that there are a lot of people walking around their neighborhood every day doing just that and that that is the reason why according to Google local searches are becoming higher on mobile phones and will surpass desktop searches.

This is where they are loosing customers without knowing it. Until you clear it up offcourse Then they know and they do exept it, dont worry. Also make them keep at mind that mobile users will pass their website if they have to do to much to get what their looking for and just hit the back button.

And those mobile users are more active then desktop users since they're not sitting down and dont have the time to search for hours. They want it now and they will ACT if they find what they are looking for. Meaning TARGETTED and HIGHLY CONVERTING visitors. This will proof to be the real power of mobile marketing in the near future, trust me, I know what I'm talking about and have seen similair thing happen in the past with the 'fax', 'mobile phones' and the internet as is.

If you consider all this, and it becomes clear to your suspect he will start asking you questions, and questions are buying signals. And again DONT TRY TO SELL but HELP THEM BUYING. So dont force your offer cause they will feel like its forced. Just give them the idea you can help them out with their problems. Dont forget to ask WHY their current webdesigner didn't come up with this yet This will help you in the process where they become a prospect since they have already a trust relationship with the current designer. Dont say he/she failed in helping them, just make it visible by asking about it

But still even then its difficult to break the trusty cycle. To really make it easier on yourself you need to provide a leverage which non other can give them. YOU NEEDTO STAND OUT OF THE CROWD and not offer the same as everybody else...

If you wanne know more on how you can do that read the following threads:
http://www.warriorforum.com/mobile-m...marketing.html

There you find FREE information on how to leverage with extra's

Hope this will give you back the needed hope and believe to start making it just like a lot of others.

"First, it is important to know that there is no competition. People often come up to me and say that they really want to do something but that there are so many other people already doing it, that they aren’t sure if it’s what they should do.
What people forget quite frequently is that there can only be one YOU! Do you know how many marketing and mindset coaches there are out there? There are hundreds, if not thousands, if not tens of thousands of them out there – but there is no one doing it like me. There is no one else doing it “Help More People” style. Likewise, no one can do what you do like you can.
Let go of the idea of competition. There is no competition. The only competition you will find is a manufactured competition that you have created." Suzanne Evans

Karen,
Your frustration is understandable... and you are not alone. There are many out there struggling trying to sell Mobile, despite some that are killing it. I've had planty of students about to throw in the towel... and many have turned it around.

Platforms (to build sites or deliver SMS, etc) are necessary, and "tools" (email copy, sales letters, video, powerpoints) are helpful, but developing some selling skill and a sales process is most important to your success.

Don't throw in the towel, you certainly can learn some skills and move forward. Best luck to you.

I hate cold calling too, and while I'm not rich yet, I have had some luck with door knocking. I have set up a local directory. I walk in to a store with complete confidence, and ask for a business card. When they give it to me I explain that I want to make sure we have their information right for their free listing. I show them what the free listing will look like just a business name, address and 111111111 for a phone number. Then I show them what their competitors have (because I built the page without taking to them) and they can too for only $150. Oh, and it comes with a bonus report showing seo for their site and up to 9 of their competitors. That report generates additional seo clients for me.

It's hard to sell something when there is very little interest. You can "pinch out" a webpage and qr codes are a major FAIL right now.

IMO it is too soon as most businesses just don't "get it" - I am speaking for most of the US (dk about other countries) and from my own experience.

Mobile is on it's way to being BIG, but it's not moving as fast as we are so it will take time for businesses to get that.

Its not so BIG yet because businesses dont GET IT. The users get it. Look around you how many people are holding a phone in their hand at any moment in time...

Same with QR, not enough businesses using it yet...so a lot of users don't even know what a QR code is...

Its up to us to eduacate the businesses and make it as BIG as it will be

Bit of a mixed bag for you there Karen.
Personally I think Philboy uk and TheLocalCoach are the ones to take on board if I were in your shoes. And as Midasman09 says, find out what people want and deliver it to them. People want to buy, but they don't want to be sold. Just keep your ears open, opportunities will arise.
If you can see the potential for yourself - don't give up

Mobile is one of the HOTTEST product out there right now. Sounds like you need some "Sales Coaching" Unfortunately i don't do that. But i do know a few things about sales and have been doing it all my life.

First off, no product on here our anywhere makes you rich quick.there is no "luck"

"LUCK" stands for Labor Under Correct Knowledge.

A few questions?

Who and what businesses are you focusing on?

Switch from Cold Calling to sell the product to Cold Calling to set an Appointment. (you have a 67% higher chance of closing if you make an appointment)

Feature/Benefit every single time you mention a feature. Follow it with a benefit. You have to paint a picture that people relate to.

Always!....Always Remember Value over $Price = Sale!

Happy Selling
