What do you use to create mobile websites for your clients?

Hey guys just curious as to what software, themes, plugins, websites, etc you use to create mobile websites for your clients.

I've used the EZ Mobile Websites plugin (I think that's the name). And it's ok, It has a lot of features but I'm looking for other plugins or products that have good capabilities like mobile coupon creation, maps integration with directions, different menu options, a variety of design options, etc.

I'm not much of an html guy either. I can do the whole inserting of redirection script but that's it. I would prefer a "fill in the blanks" software program or a plugin or theme that supports the WordPress interface.

I know I can do a google search for this but I want to know what you guys use.
Thanks,
GMasters

I don't know about wtouch pro. Doesn't seem too useful for what I'm doing. I make mobile sites for local businesses and I want something geared towards businesses. I want location based directions integration, opt-in code detection, click to call buttons, google places check in, mobile coupon generator, QR code generator, etc. The only types of software of sites that have all this have monthly fees.

I like this http://www.identitywebhost.com/mobile-site-builder.html but I want something I can buy only once. I don't want to pay a monthly fee.

GeoMasters, there's a lot of mobile site building software out there. I have basically bought them all to test. The only real good one out there that you buy once is WillR's but it deals with working with code and doesn't have some of the features you're looking for. The other ones I've bought that are fill in the blank (WYSIWIG) are very limited and those developers aren't willing to add or make changes like you're looking for.

To be honest the only good one you're going to find charges a monthly fee but it's well worth it. It's by far the best and not only provides everything you're looking for but is also being updated with more great tools regularly. The one I'm talking about is Brick&Mobile's "Mobile CMS" platform. It's not cheap but that's because it's the best system out there and will make you a lot of money. Kevin Z has done an amazing job.

Hope this helps,

Mark...

I would start buy finding a good wordpress theme that is mobile ready or hiring a programmer to edit an existing template with all the features you are looking for. You might never find exactly what you are looking for on the market so the next obvious step is to outsource programming and build something with everything you need. You only have to pay once because you can use the same theme over and over and just change the header image. and sidebar images for that niche.

See a good example of a high converting lead capture page and blog setup. Money Blog

Try out their 14 day trial. It will give you a chance to test it out. Be warned though once you try it you're going to want to sign up. It's really that good.

Frankly, I was surprised to find out that Brickandmobile are nothing but resellers of other platforms. Lime for their SMS marketing, Ventipix for QR code tracking and I think it's Mobifriendly for their CMS.

I suggest you save yourself a bunch of money, get their "free trial" to test the process, but sign up with the original vendors and skip the middleman.

I definitely agree with you.
Actually one can save a lot of money if proper research is done. It's wise to test out the item first by trying out the free trial software.

Yea will do! brickandmobile looks good but I'd rather skip the middleman as well and deal straight with the source.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Do your homework folks there is no middleman with this one. Brick&Mobile and mobiFriendly are one in the same. They are partners and worked together to build the platform. If you go to mobiFriendly you'll be pointed back to Brick&Mobile. Together they have done a stellar job and are well worth the investment if you want a true Mobile CMS platform.

Agreed. Do your research on each product. We also recommend making a list of features you want your mobile site to have and figure out which CMS can do what you are asking for (ie Swipe, HTML5 compatible, etc).

It really all depends on what you are trying to accomplish via mobile.

Another point, Brick & Mobile licensed Lime's Platform just as my company has.

Since the public cant go sign up directly with Lime you can't legitimately call them a "Reseller" as Lime is a Technology company and not a SMS Marketing company.

It's not uncommon for companies to license others Technology for their own use.

Google's Mobile Website Builder actually utilizes Dudamobile's Engine....as an example
