Best Software/Program to Create Mobile Sites
 

Hi,

I am just getting into providing mobile websites and mobile marketing services. Please suggest some good software/programs to quickly and easily provide quality websites.

I am technically challenged, meaning I know enough code, etc. if it does not get too complex. Also, I want an efficient process, so the time to create quality sites in not significant.

And please excuse this really dumb question - is there any software that will crawl the client's website and simply create a mobile site from that information?

There are many threads on the Warrior Forum with lots of posts on software and services to create mobile sites.

There are also a couple great WSO's as well with either Mobile website templates that are easy to customize and also software that anyone can easily use to create great looking sites.

Thank you for your response. I have looked at some of the WSO's for mobile website creation, and am anticipating purchasing one.

Still, I would like to hear, if possible, from Warriors who are successfully selling mobile sites and services as to what they recommend. For example, do they use re-seller programs from companies like Lime or DudaMobile, do they use other programs, etc.

Also, is there a solution that automatically builds simple sites by crawling the regular website and creating a site from that information?

Don't get me wrong, I am moving forward no matter what. But I really hope to hear some more feedback soon.

There's never going to an automated system that will output every site exactly how you would like. You really have three main options as I see it, and I'll list them in order of increasing cost (but keep in mind as monetary investment increases, time investment should decrease... if that makes sense):

1) Learn HTML5, CSS3 and possibly some Javascript such as JQuery Mobile, and build your own custom templates.

2) Leverage the expertise of others and use their templates. For example, WillR's WSO is pretty intuitive and with even basic familiarity with code, you should have something customized and professional within a couple hours.

3) Use a hosted site builder, such as Lime, MobiFriendly, Brick & Mobile, Anchor Mobile, PiJnz, etc.

If you're looking for something truly simple try out WPTouch, free plugin. The other solution might be to research responsive themes, they are starting to become all the rage. But if your client wants it to look exactly the way they imagine nothing will beat custom coded .mobi website or mobi.website.com with a redirect script.

My advice: Hire someone to do them and you do the selling! It's easier and more profitable
You could browse the Warrior For Hire section for people like me who build mobile websites for your clients.
I wouldn't recommend selling your clients template based mobile websites for a premium fee.Providing something unique like custom designs will give your services more value and business owners will really appreciate you and will do more business with you in the future as they can see you really care about their business, their brand and uniqueness.

Thank you Warriors for some excellent suggestions. I will check out the services/information you have given me so far.

If anyone has experience with a particular platform, like winsto, please let us know your opinion or suggestion.
