Mobile Websites For Non Businesses?
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi everyone,

I'm about to promote my mobile website design services to a daily deal website( like groupon)

They have thousands of subscribers and it costs nothing for them to send an email about my services to their subscribers, so i thought i should test my offer with them. If I get no takers for my offer, its not a problem as it cost me nothing to test.

The problem is they are unsure whether a mobile website would appeal to their subscribers (mainly consumers who do not have a business)...most of their daily deals are for electronics, holidays etc...but they have had people advertise regular website deals before.

Who else can benefit from a mobile site apart from local businesses? I just need to convince them to approve my offer and promote it.

any advice would be appreciated.

thanks

Just a few off the top of my head..

For Sale By Owners- People trying to sell their home themselves could have a qr code/url on their sign that leads to a video tour of their home, and all the pertinent info.

People selling their car/truck/boat, etc.... same thing, info about the item.

How about a family recipe book... grandma's recipes could be preserved (no pun intended) with a qr code on each page that leads to her on video creating the delicious dishes! How cool would that be for future generations to watch their great, great, great....... grandma personally instructing them on how they put together the meal.

Along the same lines, and one I'm personally putting together now...... this for singer/songwriters- a qr code next to the lyric that leads to a video of the song, or a video explanation of what inspired the song and maybe a short "live" sample from the artist.

Here's one I read about here on the forum some time ago...
A qr code on the grave headstone that is a memorial of the person passed. Pictures, bio, maybe even a video.......

Again, these are just a few, but think creatively and one could come up with many uses.

Ron

I do voice over work... here's a SAMPLE
