Don't sell them a mobile site, sell them a way to get more clients and listings. One thing realtors look for too is something that integrates the mls idx which is a pain. But yeah, people like high quality mobile sites that are easy to navigate. It's all about ux.

As Thomas mentioned its more then just selling a "mobile site", you want to provide them a complete mobile marketing solution.

Mobile sites are the future and it's only getting bigger by the day.

Can't get much hotter that mobile my friend, but as mentioned, listen to their needs and offer appropriate solutions.

I also feel that real estate agents are probably one of the harder niches to start with because they expect much more complex mobile websites with updated listings, etc.

Interesting points on the realtor sites. The future of the internet will be on phones so if it's not going to be hot then we're all nuts!

Just look on a city block or in a shopping center. How many people are on their smartphones? The beauty in mobile design is that 95% of people don't have a mobile friendly version of their site.

I have heard some people offering a mobile marketing package to realtors and doing good with that. They will offer them a package that includes things like:a unique keyword for that listing that someone can text to get instant information, mobile listing landing page, video tours, QR code that takes clients directly to mobile landing page or video tour. The great thing about this for realtors is they can capture someone number and follow up his leads more efficiently.

OK, cool. But how are they getting around MLS? I told one of the people I know that I design mobile websites. The 1st question was about MLS.

I totally disagree. What keeps people from deleting a boring app? Nothing. They got bored, away it goes. But if they try to delete a mobile website, guess what happens.

Business mobile website - always a 'yes'. Business app? May be, until they get bored or something better shows up on the horizon.

With the trends in iOS/Android this year, selling mobile sites will certainly come in handy!! Yea I agree for a Realtor, listings and clients are essential ingredients, still a mobile site can be aimed at the Client needs, the Realtor needs or both in one.

You don't need to build separate mobile sites, all you need is a Wordpress Responsive Theme Framework. Why the need to have two different sites one for desktop and one for mobile?

There are enough responsive web design theme frameworks out there now, no need to keep building two separate sites. One responsive site will cater for both forms.

Because anyone who knows the importance of the mobile web knows that good mobile design is not just about displaying the exact same content in a mobile friendly manner. Mobile users have different needs to your standard desktop user. They are looking for different things. Thus the content of the website should be condensed down and prioritized for mobile specific users.
