Hi guys. I have been putting a business together for almost 3 months now. We are called OnlineMediaGroup.pro(website almost up... configuring a WordPress, SEO optimized server at the moment). We will be offering local businesses Local SEO, Website Design, SMS Marketing Campaigns, and Social Media Integration to start. My business partners sister has a huge Reputation Management company in Chicago, so I'm not going to say Social Media just yet... I know how involved that can be. So anyway... I am the business development/sales guy and I have crammed my brain w/ knowledge about this stuff for a few months, and in a month or so I will be ready to present our goods to people. How should I start off? I need to know ways that have worked for others: Approaching business owners, Presenting my package, How much info(technical) do I offer?? Anything along those lines would help me so much.. just feeling like some advise would go a mile for me right now... I've been a successful salesman, but have never sold products like this.. Thank You, Corey Cross Managing Partner OnlineMediaGroup.pro |

I'd forget all the technical stuff... absolutely no jargon in the presentation... unless they specifically ask about it. You're selling one thing... increased business... PERIOD. Not SMS... not websites... not SEO... not Social Media Integration. MORE BUSINESS... PERIOD! Focus on that and you'll do great... deviate from that at your peril! Or... as Frank Kern and John Carlton would say... 1. Here's what I've got for you 2. Here's what it will do for you 3. Here's what you need to do next |
If you knew what I know you'd be doing what I do...

Hi, it's great that you are putting the right questions, other salesmen don't really care about asking other opinions - that's the major mistake that is causing zero sales. In my opinion, you should analize the owner's website and tell them what they need and how you can help him doing that thing for him. And after, ask him some questions about future - "where do you want to get your business in 1 year?" and so on, and tell him your opinion. Good luck!

tigari electronice -- EDIT BY MODERATOR: Why does your location say "Chicago" when your IP is in Romania? I'm staying in Romania for a while but I'm from Chicago, is there a problem?
