The more I study this the more confused i get. I want to start selling mobile apps and mobile websites, but I have looked at both of the following companies, and they look similar, but the pricing is a lot different. But I am not even sure if I am getting the same thing, i.e. comparing apples to apples. Mobile Marketing Reseller Platforms | SMS Reseller Programs w/Shared Short Codes anchor mobile Bizness Apps - Mobile Apps For Businesses Made Easy biznessapps Anchor Mobile has a wso that is compelling, their prices are less and they do sms. BizNess Apps has been doing apps and websites longer, and i don't think they do sms. BizNess Apps does "native apps" and Anchor Mobile does not, but I don't really know if that is a problem or not. Can anyone already doing mobile simplify it for me? I want to sell apps/mobile websites, hosting and sms text and coupons, as well as starting my own local sms coupon mail list in my local area. Any suggestions on what additional things I can sell would be appreciated also. Thanks, |

I don't know if it's important to you, but I was looking for a white label solution that clients could easily customize on their own, and BiznessApps has a smaller learning curve than Anchor (not to say Anchor is difficult). BiznessApps has a really nice interface, very intuitive with a lot of built-in icons, or you can cut and paste just about anything you would need into the app. If you haven't seen it yet, they have an entire training video on their website that does a great job of showing exactly how to use their system. ~ |

They both have their advantages and disadvantages. For smaller businesses a web app os much more sensible. It's cheaper to develop and users do not need to download and install the app to use it. Let's face it. Customers don't want to have their phone full of different apps for all their favorite local restaurants... it's much easier for them to just visit their mobile web app and bookmark it.

WillR brings up a great point here... Apps that are not utilities or perform some specific function are not likely to last very long because users would need to have too many of them. How many business cards, restaurant menus and coupons are sitting dormant in peoples drawers already? Many and perhaps most small business apps are not much more than e-business cards or menus. The apps that might survive in this category could be more like directories from local towns and cities, service organizations, and industry specific associations. But even this remains to be seen and proven. Small businesses who are looking to apps as a way of keeping users interest will not do well if the app is simply a mobile version of their business card. The app must perform a desired task or service if they expect it to be downloaded and (more importantly) used often enough to stay visible and viable. ~

I have been building mobile sites for a year now, and doing well with them. I have recently come upon a mobile app developer who uses bizapps and basically creates business card style apps. |

Today, you cannot think of creating a mobile website without a mobile application. And you cannot use a mobile app unless you use it for a mobile website. So, both are here to support each other. There are many mobile app development companies which develop apps to support all types of websites and make them user-friendly. You no longer have to wait to navigate web pages.

My company does it all. What has works well for us however is offering initial free products or free trial then up-selling. Our initial offer usually compliment other products so it become apparent to our prospects that they must have those other products.

"FREE" will usually catch some attention. The upsell seems like a natural! Good advice.

Free is still a word that draws attention however nowadays I think that word also tends to mean lower quality or inferior. If you have a great product or service you believe in then don't be tempted to give it away for free. It will often cheapen the rest of your products and services.

I have been looking at this site over the last few days (in addition to lots of others) and something keeps bringing me back here - mobiFriendly « Your White Label | Your Customers | You're Mobile mobiFriendly Like with some others on this thread, my frustration goes through the roof because I can't find any that disclose their pricing structure....I don't get this! Every other site I know offers a transparent pricing structure and this one states it offer 4 different ones...well what are they then??? I've emailed them this morning to ask and request that no-one calls me (their policy is to have a call with you first). I want the time to be able to read over what their pricing is about so I can budget accordingly rather than have a 'hard sales' technique going on in my ear. Wait out! They promise to respond in 24 hours. I have a good feeling about this company so let's see if my illusions are confirmed or shattered! |

Your clientele will only expect some more freebies, or will only come to you when looking for the cheapest deals
