Google analytics for mobile trouble

Hi guys, i have some trouble installing the google analytics tracking system for my mobile website. i know it's not a marketing issue, but maybe some of you can help me.

As far as i can tell i have 2 options to install the google analytics code:
1. Consider my site as any other desktop site, and tracking will work for java enabled browsers such as the new iOS and Android out there.
2. Change the code to a "Mobile website" then google will ask to place some code on the server side, which will dismiss the use of java script, and enable the tracking of older WAP phones as well.

Personally i'm OK with either options, i target the site for smartphones so i don't mind using 1st option as well.

Problem is that i tried both, and i'm getting wrong numbers.
For example with option 1, when i visit from my smartphone, or my desktop, i see the visits, but when i launch a PPC campaign it shows 0, although i should be getting hundreds of visits.

Appreciate any assistance you can give.

Re: Google analytics for mobile trouble

If you're sure you've followed the instructions properly (double check) and you're still getting incorrect numbers it might be a case of Google analytics not updating the stats immediately. Try waiting a day or two and see if it reports anything after that.
