Hi, I just would like to know what are the top 10 objections that you get from clients for a mobile site and how you manage them...? I think it could be helpful to have this kind of idea before to go on the road.. thanks warriors Mike |

Here's a couple for you. I get these a lot. 1. "My website looks fine. If someone really wants to see my website, they will go to their computer and pull it up". 2. After demonstrating how their website looks on a mobile phone, I get this a lot..."Thanks for letting me know...I'll let my web guy know about it and get it fixed" |

I think business owners need to be educated on why they need a mobile site, I've found that the best way to show them is to actually pull out your smart phone and show them what their site looks like, how they have to scroll around to see anything or worse I had a lawyer that paid top dollar for his flash header that showed up on his phone as one big black nothing - it was the first time he had actually checked what his site looked like on his phone. - he was shocked and a bit ticked having spent all that money. If you go in trying to educate first, instead of sell, you will win them over and melt away any objections they would have had. Just my 2cents! . |

I have never built a mobile website. However, from a client's perspective I would probably just want to know that it's attractive enough for visitors. I don't think I would necessarily expect it to look like the regular site, that is, at least not for the next few years yet. Maybe when HTML5 is out.
