Seriously,, Someone out there has to have built a Desktop Website for their Mobile Business. Now,, I keep asking about this and no one seems to be able to refer me to a nice set up with a desktop site. I saw a wso that had a fully built, customizable desktop website that was an added bonus. And no,,, I don't mean a squeeze page,, I'm talkin' a full blown website that you can actually take orders and people can purchase from. But,, I can't find it anymore. I'm trying to find anything pre-made BEFORE I go and spend a $1000 on a site and having to try to convey my ideas to a designer. I'm looking for speed,,, I can always alter and change it later. I don't wanna build a whole desktop site. I wanna concentrate on the marketing of my biz and leave all the whoopla to a website designer or just get a simple pre made site. If you can help and send me in the right direction,, please,, let me know. Thanks,, Robert X |

Putting $1000 in website design is waste of money, I rather spend it on marketing efforts. Basicaly there are 2 kinds of website to promote your mobile business: 1-Regular pages 2-Squeeze (rare) To get an idea just google for "website design company"+ "local area" Now from my point of view; Regular using WP themes or custom coded sites works very well but I'm also testing squeeze page that gives better optin rates and customers ready to buy a mobile website. Rather 1 or 2 these are not the main subject, what you want as a goal is get customers! I already have several biz but local only and will go international soon with a new website, so I will hunt statewide businesses, many are skeptical, not me! If Dudamobile and other big names go statewide it's because it's profitable when you know exactly how to market these businesses. It's easy with my marketing strategy (sorry won't disclosed) to target the world:Australia, NZ, US, Europe... the hardest thing is not building mobile sites or your website design but brand your name with good reputation, marketing strategies from A to Z must be execute step by step..... then no cold calling, no PPC ads, no face to face. That's why I've got an awsome domain name very descriptive, brandable and easy to remember (still pending transfer). I could write a guide and sell it on WSO but will not do it since I just started and have to get proof of results that will put down most of my competitors who are locally based and do offline marketing. |

You need: - A logo - Content (text, images, video) Text: Hire a writer Images: Buy stock images - Contact a web designer If you want customer to be able to pay directly on-site, just setup a paypal button and give it to your designer. (Well, customer will be redirected to paypal website. If you want customer to never leave your site, that's another story). If you have the content ready, a web designer/developer can build your site in a day or two. |

I grabbed this WSO for the tool, but there's a bonus WP site they build for you. It's a LOT for what you pay, if you don't mind them hosting the site: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ls-plugin.html Z |

Robert, here is my take on the website. With mobile being so new to most people, I do not think it is a good idea to put your pricing and order info on the website. I prefer to have people contact me so we can discuss what they need. Anyone seeing pricing on the site will make the decision then and there on if they want it. And, in my view, they will not have complete info. The market is just too new. If they contact me, we can talk about their needs and formulate a total plan for their mobile marketing. They make a yes or no decision based on facts and not impressions of the industry. And I am a good enough mobile marketing consultant to lead them where they need to go. That is my feelings about the website. General info only, to get their interest. Develop a plan, then implement it. |

All is about marketing strategies. @robert To build a website you can look on warrior forum wso many have wp themes for sale or Google it. The more custom it will be, the more customer will trust you. Me too I was looking for the best site design for selling mobile and could not find exactly what I wanted so I might coded in PHP myself for a custom unique site for a new mobile biz. Also there was only Quentin who shared his site I could understand that no one here would like to have its website copied.

I am the mobile marketing consultant. It is my job to talk to them, find out their wants and desires, and develop a plan to get there. Part of that is making them realize what they do need vs what they thought they need. People who are not in this industry really have no idea what is out there. I do not sell anything. I consult with my clients and get them happily involved with my products. You can sell off your website, but your customer can only pick what you have for sale. Which product and level of product is best for them.? My customer get the product they need, not what they arbitrarily pick off a website. We are the professional experts, not them. That is why I call myself a mobile marketing consultant.

Hi Robert, I totally agree with you that those of us that sell mobile sites still need a gorgeous desktop site. I think it was Ryan Shaw with Rhino Web (I hope I didnt totally screw that up???) who put out a WSO and included a nice WP template that has a slider that sows samples of your mobile sites. But it's a "real" website designed for desktop. If I can remember who that was I will be back and report. Cheers, Suzanne |
