Well it depends on what you exactly need this app to do really! I would suggest you go to freelance or odesk and hire someone to do this stuff for you though (if you have no programming experience, if you had though you wouldn't be asking this question!). |

You need to specify what you want your app to do. Either direct people to a site, or some functionality. Programmers can help direct you with your ideas as to what is feasible or not. |

Hey Henry I have been in the business of mobile apps development from past long time. Believe me, the resources available over web for apps development are not good at all and specially they are worse for business apps. If your really wish to have a nice business app have it made by some reputated apps development firm. |

Definitely get some advice from some experienced app developers. Too many people try and build these things themselves when they have no idea of what they are doing, and are way better off focusing on the business side of things. |

Does everyone always have to say::: "Duh,, It depends" Can't you just answer the question? Dude,, go to the WSO section and hit the search button. Search for "Mobile Apps", "mobile app development" of any variation of a "mobile app". I'm sure there are plenty of offers that you can look at and decide for yourself if one is right for you. I agree with John Ayling. Creating some good-looking apps won't last long. Your university has a lot of password-protected contents which I guess you offer for students only. If you offer them through apps, you'll have to think of security first, function last. Good thing about mobile university apps is, they could download and read the courses on the go, then mark them as accomplished, or something fancy like that.. G'luck. |

I've tinkered with learning code but now I'm just learning enough just to know better and leave that up to the pro's. It takes too much time and I rather focus on managing my app business than trying to do it all.

Do you know the difference between responsive webdesign, natvie apps and mobile website apps? If its a University website I would recommend going with a responsive web design over the other two because of look and presentation. We can help you achieve the best of all worlds, my main website has been designed with a flexible foundation and fluid grid system in mind that adapts your website to mobile devices, desktops or any other viewing environments like iPad, ipods and tablets. depending on your websites goals and objectives it is possible for you to get the best of all worlds. Feel free to touch base with me and lets have a discussion about your core objectives and which form of mobile marketing will support those goals. After all mobile marketing isnt just a one glove fits all type of approach. |

I would stay away from these online app builders unless you want to be paying a monthly fee for the privilege, they are all well and good if you don't mind having adverts in them or paying a high price to not have adds. If you plan on selling the app then you do not want adds in them and this will cost you so you need to make sure you are making more from selling the app than it is costing to have adds removed. If you are going to use these online app builders or any WSO the make sure you read the small print regarding costs, the amount of app installs aloud per priceband and the cost of having adds removed. Also with skybuilder you cannot make apps for other people to sell or give away as this is in the terms:

Blog Entries: 163 | The app made for Online Biz University can include schedule, list of members, map of venue, notification function, probably Twitter or discussion chat. It can be either informative, or interactive tool. Here are some examples of the business mobile apps https://itunes.apple.com/mt/app/backup-call-phone-service/id530498036?mt=8 , https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hingste2012/id505474850?mt= , https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gis.gis4mobile&feature=search_resul t |

I think you should contact any professional apps development company to create a custom app according to your business. I can share you a company name and website URL of that company, I hope it will help you. It is a fastest growing & most promising mobile apps development company named AppsChopper. You can also check his website: http://www.appschopper.com |
