I've been thinking about buying some .mobi domains in hopes of a future resale. I know that selecting good domain names is essential. Has anyone else tried this? Have you had any luck flipping .mobi domains? |

I have bought some .mobi names, but have not sold any yet. I am just waiting a little longer until the mobile market is more realized.

I've bought several, mainly with names associated with colleges. Will keep them for awhile and then put them up for auction.

This can be a good idea but just keep in mind that if you buy domain names of places that are already trademarked then you are achieving nothing at all. If you go around buying college names and those colleges wanted those domain names, it's fairly likely they could take you to court and get that domain name from you.
