How I made $1200 this past weekend selling mobile sites

Hey gang,

My fellow Warriors!!! How ya all doin' tonight? Alright!

Well,, it took a while to put together but,, I finally got it together and launched my mobile biz. I have been here for a while now getting all the info and everything set up,,, whew!!! A lot of you have seen me. (This is just my first crack at mobile,, always been a IM'er for the past 10 years,, well,, a dabbler with some ok success, but now I may quit my day job,, and I make a lot)

Now,,I will tell you what I did to get $1200 buck-a-roonies,, 1200 smack-a-doodles,, 1200 samolians. Cold hard cash, my brothas. On my 1st attempt no less!

Ok,, It took a while but that's because I had to go through a ton of materials, training courses,, and bought every wso for mobile marketing. I went in with a NO FAIL attitude. You MUST have this in order to succeed. Aim to be the greatest ever! So if you're not,, you'll still be pretty damn good.

Ok, Ok,,, 1st)... I decided on a biz name. Rockstar Mobile Media (Free)

2nd),, I got a domain with that name,, or close. ($10?)

3rd.) I filed the name with the city. You must do this to get the papers to open a bank account in your biz name(in the U.S.). Don't forget this people, you can't just get checks made out to a business name and cash them,, it won't work. And what biz wants to write checks to a persons name? They dont know you. A business seems more trustworthy than some dude sayin' "hey, write me a check, dammit. ($40 I think.)

4th) I opened a bank account in my new biz name. Need a place to dump the cash that's allegedly gonna be raining down on my head. (free)

5th) Next I got a new phone #. Only $9mo,, but worth it. (I have another biz so I don't wanna mix up calls, ("Hello, Rockstar,, oops I mean...),

6th) Website. Now, this is not totally necssary, but I want to look establised and professional. But you can do this without one,, right up until a client wants to see YOUR site. Also, a site provides a place to educate potential clients and them have them fill out their info. Like a squeeze page but much larger .

Ok,, then I got the Localizer Lead tool. I think from here. $97 bucks. With this software, you can choose any niche, in any city in the world, and it will seek out all the info about every business in that niche, in that city. It gives name, numbers, websites and even emails. I ONLY have used the emails so far. By the way,, I chose bailbonds in San Diego, CA. Turns out the biz I sold 2 sites to was in Minnasota. I did it all by email. NO PERSONAL CONTACT! This software takes 20 seconds to find 300 leads,, not 300 emails,, but 300 leads.

So, I picked out all the emails and sent out a blast with a simple email that said I can't view your company website on my phone. With a little expanation of their problem and how I can help to solve it. Very soft selling. Not even selling,, just trying to get them to see a video. So, I sent out about 100 emails. I got 1 response so far but, 1 was worth $1200!
And the emails took about 10 minutes. I only email out 25 at a time, And I use Bcc. ( I read up on spamming) Well, one bailbonds company emailed me,, asked how much,, I said $597 + Hosting. He said Ok,,,

Now, I have WillR's My Mobile Business and learned a ton of stuff from his training course. But I used Mobile Marketing XT to build the sites,, super awesome software, combined with Will's Lil Red Snapper. It's drag and drop,, super easy,, you can easily install video as well on these sites.

So, I made up a site in about 2 hours,, sent it to him as a mock up,, he liked it, and said he had another location and wanted a whole new site for that one too. $597 X 2= $1194.00 + Monthly hosting. I made the 2nd site even faster. Maybe 1 hour. I'm not kidding. This stuff is easy and fast to do and you can make a killing. Yes,, I'm on the high end,, but isn't that where you wanna be?

So,, now I'm gonna do more email blasts in other niches to test what's best,, if there is such a thing. I tried Chiropractors and I got 2 calls that I still need to respond to. They were missed calls and they didn't leave a message, so I'm gonna try my hand at semi-cold calling. Hope I don't stu stu ststststst, stutter.

Any questions?

Robert X

Thanks to all my fellow Warriors that have made $1200 smackers possible. In 3 hours,, or 4,, does it matter?

Update 2/9/14: Sorry everyone for not responding as often. All posts must always fade away at some point to make room for the more modern stuff. But, just to add a little more to this post, the dude that I sold these 2 sites came back and asked for 2 more,, so, I made nearly $2400 and $76 monthly just for his 4 sites (many others as well). I've been focusing on Real Estate and Facebook and will be back with some awesome info! Stay tuned. And, I got my site hacked (The Warrior Syndicate.com) but am finally rebuilding!!! Me----> ...... I'm a full blown IM'er and have a few ventures going at the moment. I like to make money in every niche,,, and I wanna master them all!!! Hahaha!!! And I'm gonna put some great, free informative videos on my site real soon

The Mobile Marketing XT is drag and drop system. They host the sites,, I got them down to $4 mo by asking. But,, it's almost $400. So,, it's not cheap. But I made the money back already. And these were my first sites other than my own.

    Robert,

    Congratulations on your success.

I've seen you doing a lot of prep for this over the last month or so and am glad to see you finally got your first sale... and not a bad one at that.

By the way, I like the name of your business.

Nice timeline - very helpful. I did an emailing and got only one response (which told me his site looks okay on a mobile phone - hardly). Anyway, that's a good niche for mobile.

Reading your post encourages me. I definitely need to get some sites sold as I have the same software available to me, but I am paying monthly as part of their broader Apps/Mobile Web/SMS package.

How much did you charge for the hosting and did you have any problems getting the ftp lo-gin info to the main site (did he know it or did you have to contact the original web designer)?

Well, I jumped on this so fast I literally forgot to mention hosting. So, I would've charged $29mo for hosting and maintenece. (more for larger sites,, maybe $49mo? Sounds good to me) But, I pay $4 mo. so I asked for $10mo X 2 = $20 a month. And since I hit him up for more cash on a monthly basis, because I forgot, I threw in QR codes for each site.

What can I say,, I'm a giver. Over deliver, right?

He actually refered me to his designer and he gave up the info I needed (or I said I would choke it outta him,,, hahaha,, kidding, he was helpful)
It was super easy to redirect the site. I don't know what all the fuss is about. Coding is soooooooooooo simple,, you know,, like quantum physics and talking with Stephen Hawking.

p.s. did I mention the guy was so stoked, he said he would mention me to all his business buddies. Word of mouth advertising can't be beat!

Thanks for the lowdown, X Man!

I've built many Wordpress sites for myself and clients, using my own hosting account. I know how a redirect script works, and would be able to put it on one of my own websites in my own hosting account.

BUT... working with a new client's existing web developer seems very tricky! I have to think the existing provider would like to take the sale away from us. And we're dependent on their cooperation? We need to give them the mobile website files to upload to his client's hosting account, and then put the redirect into their existing desktop website?

This is the biggest stumbling block in the sales/technical process for me. Can you elaborate?

        Thanks!

At first I started with gmail. But, I consulted with a "big wig" friend at a worldwide company and he explained all about email marketing on a global level. So,, I did the 1st mail blast with the big "G". But now, I'm gonna do extensive tracking with iContact. My buddy explained that it's easier to CALL leads when you know they have opened your email, and knowing they clicked your link is even better. Then you can easily call, or have a little more confidence. (iContact $14mo for 500 contacts and 3000 emails)enough to get a great start. and cheap to add more 1000 contacts: $19mo

It's hot and to the point man... what was your total budget on this?
      Let see:
Domain: $10 You may find cheaper
Register w/city: $42 You should to get a bank account
      Phone #: $9 Not a must
Website: $97 You can get cheaper, I'm just lazy
Localizer Software: $97 Or do it manually for free
Mobile Marketing XT: $397. But there are many others than this.
that are much cheaper. try WillR's, Quentin's, Niel's, and so many more. See whats right for you. I buy everything so, I'm not the smartest at being low budget. You can refine this down to almost nothing. (almost) Like I said,, i'm lazy and look for thing that are "done for you".

I started with gmail. I did about 100 emails but learned that tracking can be super important for other types of marketing,, such as calling. When you know someone has viewed your message, then you know, at the very least, they have some idea of what you're about if you call. Not totally cold calling. Now I'm using iContact

Well, all of the products and courses that I have gone through talk about email marketing. I'm lazy (ok, not really) but I wanted to have a simple way to do this biz. And email is it. So, if you haven't seen "Localizer Lead Tool" you need to. It provides leads by the truck load. (in 20 seconds) You choose a niche, choose a city anywhere in the world, and it gets you all the info about all the companies in that niche, in that city. (names, phone numbers, websites, emails) It's AWESOME!!!

Let me just add I just made a good mistake. I'm sending emails as we speak here in San Diego, Wednesday, 10am. I'm doing an email to real estate agents and I sent a blast out to 16 agents. I got a response back immediately. She said i have a great hook because she saw the subject line: "I can't view your company website on my phone!" and she immediately went to their site.

But , she wrote and said, "Sorry to say, but I checked our site and it works fine on mobile" (oops) But,, she said also, "That is a great hook. I will keep you in my database if we need any of your services."

So,, I guess the subject line works well. The software said they weren't mobile. It does have a fault rate of I think of a few percent. But even though it was wrong, it could very well lead to something in the future.

    Off to the next.

      Congratulations Robert, that's exciting!!!

As for the realtor response below - it could be that her site is not mobile optimized
and she thought you meant you can't see the site at all, anyway, that's what crossed
my mind when I read it so it may be worth to go and double check... if she kept you
for future reference, the future may come faster than imagined

      Rock on...

      Robert -

Double-check the realtor's website on Iphonetester.com or use mobilizer. See what it looks like and if you can either make a mobile site or improve hers. She is on your hook, since she called YOU - go for other services if her "mobile site" is sound.

Also - order professional biz cards from Vistaprint to hand to live clients!

      Congrats!

Thanks for the great Post, I was just wondering if you think the Mobile Marketing XT Program is eazy to use and do you think this system is worth the cost?

I have looked into the Lime Cellular system, however; someone mentioned in a previous post that it was a copy of Lime Cellular, so I contacted the company and asked about the cost of the program, unfortunately; they would not allow me to purchase just the mobile web design element - I would have had to purchase the white label package which (for me) is a very high cost...

    Any thoughts?

I would also love to know, did you write your own emails or did you find a template...I always find emails difficult to write.

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on some mobile marketing myself and love your success story.

Mobile Marketing XT Is super easy to use when building sites. It's drag, drop, and edit. I'm into easy so I paid the stiff price but it was well worth it. Fast and easy, great combo. And they also offer free QR codes, an sms platform at a low price, seo, and others. "I like it a lot" (said like Jim Carrey)
And like I said above,, I like things all packaged together and this is,, it has all you need for mobile.

Yes, I wrote my own emails. One thing I did do for about 30 of them was to take a pic of their site on an emulator "mobilizer" and sent them an image of their site on a mobile phone along with a mobilized site. (not theirs tho, just an example) Quentin gave me that tip for the simulator/emulator(?) Thanks Quentin. No templates buddy,, sorry. Just follow your heart:p

Don't spend time taking pics of their site, get SnagIt! for about $29. You can snag any image on your computer and edit it, save it, crop it, send it. Nothing is safe on the web if you have SnagIt!.

@robert - its good to see someone actually taking action! good luck to you!

not sure if you have considered it or not but you may want to look at upselling other mobile related services, ie QR code tracking, sms, even printed materials too ie business cards, flyers. posters, brochures...

PS i would not go anywhere near vistraprint if your looking for quality... look for 16pt card thickness - if your going to resell see if you can get a trade account with 4over.com

    hope that helps

Thanks. That's another BIG TIP I have. Do It! I was thinking I wasn't ready but I MADE myself "just do it!" I just jumped in head first. I already wanna change my biz cards to lil cell phones. Anyone know where to get some? .... Oh,, and I am going to upsell,, I just don't wanna shove it all down clients throats all at once. A kind of drip feed of all other services

I'm experimenting with iContact and Yesware. Yesware is a google chrome email tracker that's free. Just download Chrome and find it in the store.
iContact: 500 contacts with 3000 emails. $14.99... I figure I can upgrade to more as business increases.

        Hi Robert,

Congrats on your success - it's action like yours that gets civilisations built.

Thanks for the Yesware tip. I've have just gone and installed it. I've used Spypig, which is good but doesn't do link-tracking. And I've been using Bananatag which is great, and DOES track links.

But Yesware seems even better, since it gives you the ability to save email templates - defeating a limitation of Gmail itself with its useful but limited 'canned responses' feature.

Thanks for sharing, and see you at the top.

I'm not too familiar w/the can-spam act but I thought it was against the law to mass mail unless the recipients opted into a list.

The iContact website explains the issue of spam and their take on things pretty thoroughly Anti Spam Policy - iContact

While I give Robert kudos for taking action and think if you're sending out emails yourself and adhering to the CAN-SPAM requirements I don't think you'll have any problems with that, but since iContact requires subscribers to opt-in, they're not going to be any help to you here.

Most ESPs that I'm aware of require some form of opt-in and also don't allow you to import lists of your own etc...but if you look hard enough I'm sure you'll find a few that will let you do what you want.

      Cheers,

Does anyone know this for sure? I've read up on can spam act and didn't see where this would be illegal. I've never done it as I usually like to personalize my messages, but thinking I might test it out if it doesn't violate can spam or any other law.

Here's what I have gathered. My emails have an opt out in them and I use a friendly, non threatening approach. I offer to help,,, I don't sell. You're gonna have problems if you try to jam a sales pitch down someones throat. It's a "personal" email, not a business email. iContact has a complaint counter and I have none. In fact, most have been happy to respond, even if they are saying no. And, I'm not MASS emailing. Literally, a few at a time.

Robert, good things happen when you take action - and you certainly did. Thanks for sharing your success story and action steps. I've had a lot of success with traditional affiliate marketing, but am just recently getting into the mobile space. I dig the simple and effective model you outlined here. I've purchased a couple of courses, have a lot of learning to do, but hope to add some additional "mobile" revenue streams to my monthly total sometime soon.

I just had another potential client email me. He's on the fence, so, I made a mock up in like 10 minutes. He said he'd call me Monday. (it's Thursday) See, it's that easy. If you can't "sell" them,, "buy" them. Give them what they want at a little expense to you,, your time. I bought him with a little of my time and a mock up so he could see what he would get.

Some people need to SEE to understand,,,, I'm one of them

If I get what you're saying, I create a website based on their existing site. I just try to copy it and make it look as close to their main site as possible. I also do a quick mock up with 4-5 buttons and their logo to send to people to show them their site as a mobile version. Do this,, it takes 5 minutes and biz owners drool over a mobile site that looks good and looks like a small version of their main site.

Sorry for the elementary questions...but why would you also host the mobile site? You mentioned that you quoted a bail bonds company $557 + hosting. Why hosting?

Wouldn't you just send them the web files?

If you are just making a mobile version of the domain, wouldn't that mean they are hosting it?

Thanks. Well,, the program I use is self hosting. If you use them, you host with them, for now. They say that you will be able to host anywhere soon.

Also, I wouldn't just want to be a "one time deal" kind of guy. I offer the hosting with maintenance. I explain it to the clients that they must host with me. No problem so far. But I'm sure I'll run into that so, I am flexible and have several platforms to offer. I'm set up to do it any way I choose,, or should I say, set up to give the customer anything they want.

I just like the idea of hanging on to control of the sites. It gives you leverage.
In this business you may want to have a recurring monthly income. You get rich off recurring income. Not one time sales. Don't get me wrong though,, I will always give the customer what they want, not what I want.

You should get WillR's "My Mobile Business". He's got a super cool "free" way to look up businesses and get in contact with them. His whole course is great and so is his products,,, I use several.

I must say though,, you've just gotta keep going. It's a numbers game. The more you contact, the more chances you have to make a sale. Don't get discouraged by "No's". Stay focused and don't give up. Do you think businesses keep running by not doing anything? No. You must be seeking the next client every day, non stop. And as many as you can contact by whatever way you choose.

I went out to eat last night and came across the restaurants to go menu's and biz card from the owner. As I ate,, I checked out the site and it was not mobile optimized. So,, I got his email and I'm a customer, so, there's my way in. I can start with,,, "Hey, I was at your restaurant the other night looking at your website as I ate, and I couldn't view your site on my phone."

I will create a mock up and send it to him. Lets see what happens. I will also note that he has all this advertising but nothing for people using their mobile phones,, which is how most will try to view his site when they see the fliers and biz cards while eating there.

      Robert X

I have to say first off congratulations on your success! Those are awesome numbers and I not meaning to be negative but I am really amazed that you had those call backs and sales as I have sent probably 300 video emails with a screenshot of sites and mobile as well as several hundred more with near the same email as you describe with only one response and they didn't even open the email after asking how much.

I use spy pig with gmail sent as my domain name so I do know which ones get opened and of course can see if they watch the video because youtube shows the views. Your results are simply amazing and I am wondering if you might share the actual email that you sent to get those?

If not, I understand but I have been trying to sell mobile for a while and seriously all in all must have sent over 1000 emails with not one sale.

Anyway, really congrats on your sales and for taking action. I wish you the best and a whole lot more sales

Robert, you're doing good and I am happy for you. But trying to sell mobile websites is like pulling teeth - it's a very hard sell.

Makes no sense, because local biz should be breaking down the doors on us trying to get this! With all the potential it is a no-brainer - but they have a hard time "seeing" it - even though it is mentioned on the news daily that mobile is going big, etc.

SMS, QR codes, lead gen, coupons, mobile search, etc. Mad opportunities! ...yet, it is still a hard sell. I work the local scene for SEO and Facebook marketing and even with current clients - mobile sites are a tough sell - it shouldn't be this hard, ya know.

Thank Robert for your advise. I will look for that product. I don't have trouble creating this mobile websites same as desktop websites. I am a web developer. I am just stuck with selling. I think I am afraid that a client will say NO.

I can create mobile websites quick, I have hundreds of templates sitting in my computer, do you think it's worth selling them 25$ or 30$ each mobile website?

What I have in mind is just to get reputation from this companies and upsell sms marketing later. Please advise.

If not, I understand but I have been trying to sell mobile for a while and seriously all in all must have sent over 1000 emails with not one sale.

Anyway, really congrats on your sales and for taking action. I wish you the best and a whole lot more sales

      Kim
Thank you. My subject line was "I can't view your company site on my phone!" I now am testing, "Are you aware your website doesn't work on a mobile phone?" And let me tell you,, I know it's catching peoples attention because a few have written back saying it does. But they think if their site shows up its good,, not mobilized though. I will post the whole email on my site in my signature. Also,, I am using Yesware,, a Gmail tracker found in the Chrome store for free.

It's still in it's infancy. Keep in touch about once a month with potential clients. When they finally "get it" you'll be who they contact. Be persistent!

I can create mobile websites quick, I have hundreds of templates sitting in my computer, do you think it's worth selling them 25$ or 30$ each mobile website?

What I have in mind is just to get reputation from this companies and upsell sms marketing later. Please advise.
Yes. Maybe $99 set up. That's super cheap still. And I spoke with my "big wig CEO" buddy and he said to try that route as well. Give it away for a really low cost and lock them in for a 2 year, monthly contract at $49-$99+ a month for SMS. I also offer a QR code for $29. Custom Facebook Fan Page or Twitter Page $197 (outsourced for $50)

My friend keeps me on my toes and keeps me thinking about "plans" or "packages" to offer. Be diversified. Cover all bases.

I will post my whole email in my sig website soon.

      Lets see your copy.
Also, who are you contacting? I tried salons and have a potential "dog groomer" wanting a mobile site. And here I thought I was trying for human salons. See,, you jsut never know who might want a mobile site. Dog groomers and bailbonds,, go figure.

This is my copy. I know I suck at doing copywriting. I'm not a native english speaker nor good at english writing. All I can do is create stunning websites / mobile websites. Can you share me your copy? Possibly through private message so you will not have any problem with competition because they will use your copy.

I will really appreciate it Robert. If you can PM me your skype, we might end up of something we can make both big money.

I saw that you didn't have a mobile website yet and the majority of people I know use their phones to look for Dentist in the internet. I actually build mobile websites that are optimized to be viewed on phones and iPads so I went ahead and made your mobile site already! I hope you don't mind but it turned out great.

I have a general email that works pretty well. People have responded, of course not all lead to a sale. But I do have a lead or 2. See the link in my sig to see the email. You can use it and chane it to suit you.

Damn staight! Just get out and do it. I think I'm gonna get on walk-ins soon. Funny how once you make a sale you feel like superman able to do it all. I have a lot less fear of doing a walk in now. And I will look like this when I walk in.... Cool and confident...... ooooh yeeeeaaaaahh

BUT... working with a new client's existing web developer seems very tricky!

      Thanks!
Well, I guess this time maybe the designer didn't know mobile. I think, with most clients, it's gonna be who gets there first and offers the best deal (unfortunately). I think I just got there first and dazzled the owner so much that he just couldn't resist. I'm that good. Or lucky:confused:

  • Congrats!! Your post is encouraging

Quick questions? You partially answered it already regarding the current website and current web designer

You make a NEW mobile website for them, with just a mobile redirect? how do convince the business owner to not just contact their current web design guy or website source?

Do you see in the future this being problem, maybe the current web guy being contacted and then the business owner just deciding to do business with his current guy? Just seeking advice for potential conflicts in my future.

I guess it is what it is at that point, you just gave a free Upsell to some guy, company who isn't even on his game

I think this is a gamble for everyone doing this. They all must have a web designer. Maybe they just forget, or, get too excited and buy. People tend to buy impulsively.

It depends on the redirection script you're using.
Sometime the ftp details are enough.
Sometimes you might need their hosting cpanel login if they want an m.domain.com mobile syntax and sometime you might need their Wordpress wp-admin login for you to setup the redirect(if you have an redirection plugin for wp)
          Hope that helps.

That's awesome that you are having success in the local mobile area. The thing I experienced is that owners are not too up to date on technology, so it takes some convincing. I was doing some RIA for some local businesses before I even attempted anything mobile with them.

Are you having any problems landing them without RIA. That's my only issue. I don't want to put in the time, then not have anything pan out. I might outsource the local business deals.

Do you outsource much or do it all yourself?

What is RIA? Sorry,, I'm not that brite. Owners need to be shown the way,, the wave of the future. I do make a mock up sometimes and send them that in my emails but not always. I mix it up. And, I am looking to outsource and have a new "partner" selling for me in Atlanta, GA. I'm setting her up and want to get others.

Very inspiring story indeed. However, you got lucky the first time by landing a $1000 client. The important thing is to keep getting clients on regular basis using this strategy.

By the way, from where does the localizer leads tool get its data from? Is it from Google business listings or what?

Thanks for the Yesware tip. I've have just gone and installed it. I've used Spypig, which is good but doesn't do link-tracking. And I've been using Bananatag which is great, and DOES track links.

But Yesware seems even better, since it gives you the ability to save email templates - defeating a limitation of Gmail itself with its useful but limited 'canned responses' feature.

Thanks for sharing, and see you at the top.

What an awesome thread, thanks for posting Robert.

Something else you might look at in your arsenal is Google's mobile checker. It will even spit out a cool report you could use if you were to meet face-to-face ... Test Your Site

I absolutely LOVE the hook of not being able to view their site on your phone. When they come back and say their site looks fine (and it's not a mobile optimized site) they may need to be educated on what people search for on their phones, and how full versions of their site load slow, and are difficult to navigate.

I think I'm going to try that subject line with my prospecting messages to Facebook business pages ... btw ... would love to have you in our Facebook group ;-)

Firstly congrats for you success. Making a deal of 1200 bucks is good as there are people offering services at as low as $5. Since you are having all the WSO and a nice development team try to get more from your customers. I have been dealing with a few clients who are happy to have their mobile website build by our firm paying lowest of 8000 bucks and more according to the complexity of the websites.

    Cool story.

If you invested just a little more time in personalizing some
emails and making the emails irresistable to respond to you'd
be getting a ton more businesses calling you back.

Also the email blasting you're doing could be illegal in some
places depending exactly what you're doing.

What's really important though is that you took action
and you got some pretty good results for someone
starting out in the mobile niche.

    That's really fantastic.

    Kindest regards,
    Andrew Cavanagh

X-Man - Fantastic posts. LOVE reading them!!! WillR has a product to build mock-up sites in 1-2 minutes. It's way cool and still selling for under 10 bucks. It builds a comparison page showing their current site and a mock up mobile. Fast and easy.

I'm using Yesware with my gmail account. So far, I'm liking the way it works.

Can-Spam note - as long as your email seems personal (!!!) and individualized, you are good to go. I normally call the prospect first and tell anybody who answers I'll be sending some complimentary suggestions that will help their website...which has a problem that is costing them money. Then I send the email and follow up with a phone call to see if they have any questions.

Also, check Google's adwords keyword tool and you can find out how many people are searching for their keywords on a mobile device. Very powerful info.

BTW, I signed a new lead gen client on Sunday (that's when he wanted to meet) and he flat out told me that the first email he got he looked at and then ignored me. He said he ignores everybody's first attempt. Then he got my "snail mail" with the material printed (damn the postage increase to 46 cents!). He really liked the print sample I sent, but, again, ignored me. He told me when I called him - the third contact - he was amazed I hadn't given up and he gave me the time of day. He asked to meet me and set up a deal.

So, like X-man says, work it, baby. Never give up and follow-up! Thanks, Robert, for the inspiration to do and help. Hope these tips help somebody out there.

    Robert X

Thanks to all my fellow Warriors that have made $1200 smakers possible. In 3 hours,, or 4,, does it matter?
Congrats Robertx and I visit your site and also the warriorsyndicate1. You are sharing your success and it will motivate us to take action.

I tried your site TheWarriorSyndicate1.com and it does not work (pardon the pun) as I was looking for what you email...does it include an image of the failed site (on emulator), or video, or just you have created a mock up for them and it looks great - get in touch to view it...

Something that a couple of people have mentioned is taking care to make emails seem personal, and I can see this from the client side as well.

For example, I run a (non-business) website and get unsolicited emails from people offering services like "Organic SEO" (without explanation) when it is clear from the content that they have not even looked at the site. (By the way, does the average potential client - non-expert - have any idea what "Organic SEO" is?)

Most people like me just delete such emails. Occasionally someone will bite, but I think the copy needs to be good enough to make the potential client think you are talking to HIM, not just blasting out thousands of emails. Robert very likely had an email with the right sort of tone.

That said, we are talking about small numbers. How does this look on a bigger scale - consistent sales, predictable response rates? If you can master that you would really have it made.
