Has anybody tried selling mobile sites to Real Estate agents?

Hello My Warrior Brethren,

I'm asking because I think it would be the ultimate client. You could sell them a site and then charge a large fee to "maintain" their site with all the updates they would need for listings. ($199 a month?) It would be a perpetual business.

Also, QR codes are getting big with agents and home listing. I was also thinking of offering a slide show or a walk through video of the entire home. I can make videos, so I could even offer video production.

The ideas are endless.

It seems like a lot of work but also a lot of those dollars that we are all so seeking. Big bucks in real estate, especially high end,, (shoot, even mid range)

IS there any templates for something like this. Like I always say,, I like the DFY (done for you) packages. If not, can someone please create one? I'll wait.........

    The best solution I have found which a lot of the big real estate agencies in Australia seem to be using is this one:

    They claim to be able to link up the mobile site with almost any CMS so the agents will only have to update the main site and the mobile site will be updated as well.

    If you are interested then it's definitely worth having a chat with them. A few of my members have approached them directly about becoming resellers of their service. I have not used them myself as yet though.

    i have been selling mobile websites to real estate dealers and making nice amount from them. The best thing about the group is that pay any amount for getting their website on the mobile search results. I have been doing mobile SEO and other paid advertising for them and that is doing the work pretty well.

      Ok....I was "swinging by the WF" this afternoon and this thread caught my eye because...it's a Topic that has made me Mucho Dinero over the years and.....I'm in a "giving" frame of mind today, because I just closed a BIG Deal with BIG up-front moolah and.......I'd like to share it with you!

      Here's the background;

      Years ago I discovered that Real Estate Agents make money 2 ways;

      1) Commissions on their Listings that sell (usually 1.5 % of the Sale) So...all they have to do is "Get the Listings" and they get paid when they sell! (I've known MANY RE Agents over the years that do nothing but, Get Listings and "Let other Agents Sell them"!)

      2) Commissions on BOTH their Listings AND Sales (usually 3% of the sale)

      So...on a property that is sold for $100,000. If they listed the property they get $1,500 (just for getting the Listing) If they listed AND sold the property, they get $3,000!

      On a property that sells for $300,000.....they get $4,500 (just for the listing) and $9,000 if they both List AND Sell.

      Thus....with this knowledge in hand.....when I contact a RE Agent, KNOWING they can make $4,500 to $9,000 (the "Average Sale Price in my area is $300,000 (could be different in yours)).....on each property that sells.....I KNOW that ....IF I can show a RE Agent how MY Program can help them to get MORE....Listings or Sales.....I have an EAGER CLIENT!

      So....get ready! I'm about to reveal a way that I .... have gotten over 100 Re Agents to pay little ol' ME.... $250 A MONTH!...for many years!

      1) I chose an "AFFLUENT Niche" Market with MONEY (RE Agents) who can Afford to PAY MY Fee (Hey! If a RE Agent has the potential to make a MINIMUM of $4500 on ONE Transaction....would he/she be able to AFFORD $250/mo for a way that can help them GET this $4,500?

      2) I created a way for RE Agents to get their Properties SEEN by....HOT REAL ESTATE PROSPECTS!

      2a) WHO are these "HOT" Real Estate Prospects?
      Answer: Everyday....people check into local Hotels/Motels! Many of these folks are "LOOKING FOR HOMES or PROPERTY TO BUY!"

      Now....what if their was a Large, Framed Board with Listing Sheets of LOCAL properties for sale....IN THE LOBBY of the Hotel/Motel they are staying in!

      Would THIS....be of interest to a Re Agent?....especially if it was in the lobbies of Local Hotels/Motels where Hotel/Motel GUESTS would SEE their Listings Sheets?

      You betcha!

      So....I made up a Demo Board....put in some RE Listing Sheets and went and showed some RE Agents (what REALLY was impressive to my prospects was...I went to real estate offices and gathered up some "Listing Sheets" to stick into my Demo Board.

      When I showed a RE Agent my Board with one of their LISTING SHEETS .... boink, bango, bongo....their Eyes Popped Out! Here...in front of them was the ACTUAL THING....THEIR Listing Sheet in a Beautiful Display Board...that could be seen by THOUSANDS of potential buyers of their property!

      So....getting RE Agents to pay $250/mo to be "In the Lobby of 10 Local Hotels/Motels" was a "No Brainer"!

      And....with the NEW innovations in "Mobile Technology"...here's how I'm able to DOUBLE MY FEE PER DISPLAY;

      Because 99.99% of Hotel/Motel Guests, NOWADAYS.... HAVE A MOBILE DEVICE they carry with them, when traveling....I PLACE A QRCODE (along with the Typed in URL) ON EACH LISTING SHEET! So hotel/Motel Guests can whip out their Mobile Device and INSTANTLY SEE the Property Features.....RIGHT IN THEIR HANDS!

      Talk about INNOVATION! When I show RE Agents how their properties (NOT just ONE Property but.....their entire list....can appear on a prospects Phone when they Scan the QR Code....THEIR ONLY RESPONSE IS....'"SIGN ME UP"!

      I've even attached a Photo of one of my "RE Listing Boards" and Listing Sheets below. Let me know what you think.

      NOTE: I did this in 3 Towns myself and then showed 7 other people how to do this in their towns. Each one did at least one set of Boards.

      ALso....one of these folks (in Caleefornya) also set up Boards in CAR WASHES....NOT the "Drive-Thru" kind....the kind where you let your car go thru and you take a seat inside. His Boards are hung on walls where people wait.

        Great post midasman09 : ) unfortunately I can't view the pics (would you be willing to post the pics somewhere else online? the attachment didn't work for me), but I like the idea ...

        I too was wondering about the hotels / motels / car washes - how do you get them to place the board in their lobby? do you give them some of the fee? or else?

        The QR code is a great idea - I assume you direct the QR code to their site and that if the agent doesn't have the listings mobile optimized, that can be a gate to offer them a mobile site.

          midasman09, I'm impressed. I had a Real Estate brochure company for a few years. Photography, design, print and deliver. I'm impressed that you got them to invest that kind of money. I have found RE Agents to be some of the cheapest business people to do business with, And not very bright about marketing. Granted, there are a few who are business minded and willing to invest to grow their business. You just have to weed out all the "soccer moms" with their real estate license to get to the true professionals.

        This is an excellent post. But we are all so incredibly curious, How did you get the motel/hotel to put the board in their lobby?
