Guys, am thinking of learning more about Mobile application development.

What is the fastest route? I am not really much of programmer as i want to develop applications to sell to local telecomm companies for their users.

Any ideas where to begin or how to go about it?

You can get started quickly by using some of the great JS/HTML5 platforms(eg: phonegap.com , parse.com , sencha.com etc) that are then compiled like native apps. You will still need some programming skills here but very little compared to using Objective C for iPhone for example. Try a few of them out and see what you think.

I doubt you will find app developers for that price n Fiver, elance would be a better bet if you want to outsource a programer/developer, but my gues is you're going to cough up some serious money for a quality app.

What do you mean by "sell to local telecomm companies for their users". Here in the US most of the telecom companies are not really local,

I think you should go with cross platform mobile application development, such as PhoneGap, Corona, etc.
