Now here is a clever way to use Instagram for improving the customer experience and to help spread the word about your restaurant. How so? They’re drawing attention to Instagram, so if anybody comes to the restaurant that has Instagram installed on their phone, they’re encouraged to take a picture of their food and share it with their friends and family via Instagram. It’s easy to see how this can be a powerful marketing tool for any restaurant or cafe, especially considering most Instagram updates are automatically posted to most users Facebook walls. Watch the video below and let us know what you think by leaving a comment. Even if you don’t own a restaurant, you can help those who do by becoming a local consultant. |

Hopefully they are posting appetizing pictures. A lot of what I see posted on FB from camera phones isn't something to brag about.

This is the kind of info I would give a restaurant owner for free (since it's basically just implementing a call to action and hashtag on their menu or table tent) in return for a 15-30 minutes of their time so I could offer them a mobile website, sms marketing, or whatever they need really.

Just my opinion, i heard that the number one disaster to any chef is pictures on the menu...however it is building lots of credibility and trust in the restaurant. "If others are enjoying the food, i will too" type of thing...if this makes any sense
