Mobile emulator/simulator help
Share on:

Hey folks,

I am looking for a new mobile phone simulator or emulator.

I am currently using mobilizer but I find that is doesn't accurately reflect what will actually show up on a mobile device.

Would to know what others are using...or if you have a good way to capture the view of an actual mobile phone.

Thanks
Adrian

iOS Simulator + iOS-Simulator Cropper if you're on a Mac. MobiOne if you're on Windows.

There are others you can buy that are .PSD templates that you'll need to open in Photoshop and edit. The tools I mentioned first are simulators and also allow you to easily create/save a screenshot of the device's screen.

Adrian, if you just want a static screenshot and have an iphone, you can visit a mobile site and snap a screenshot with your phone, use the free dropbox app to sync the captures to your pc then use photoshop or similar to place inside an iphone frame.

I don't know if you have an Android phone (and not sure if this works for every phone)but my HTC One X allows me to take screenshots by holding the down volume button + pressing power button.

Maybe that will help!
