I just Revolutionized "Mobile Marketing"!
 
OK....I'm an "idea-Guy". I TRULY ENJOY coming up with "NEW" concepts
.... then... trying them out and see whether they work.

I've just discovered AND...implemented a program that WILL change the whole "Mobile-Marketing" industry....as far as "Selling and Marketing" Mobile Marketing is concerned.

I'm NOT going to "let the whole cat outa the bag" but, just give you enough to get interested and motivated.

I've spent most of my career in "Advertising" type sales.....helping small businesses get more customers. I got serious about this when my wife wanted to set up her own Antique Shoppe. She's loved antiques, especially Early American pieces, all her life.

So...some years ago we rented a retail space, filled it with her "antiques" and placed an ad in the local paper. Then placed another ad in the paper, and another and another and....finally, when the ads were not bringing in customers, I figured I had better do some thinking on "Ways To Get Potential Customers INTO our Shoppe or....we'd soon be hauling the stuff back home.

Thus....this was when I put together my first "Co-Op" ad project. This involved selling other businesses and professionals on buying ads (My wifee got in free) And....I've been doing these "Group" projects ever since, even nowadays, when my wife no longer has a Shoppe.

Two of my best "Co-Op" ad projects were;
"Ad on Pizza Box Flyers" and "Ads on Magnetic Restaurant Take-Out Menus". These involved getting a Pizzeria or a Restaurant to agree to;
1) Let me provide FREE Pizza Flyers to a Pizzeria
or
2) Let me provide FREE "Magnetic Take-Out Menus" to restaurants

After getting agreement with the Pizza or Restaurant biz owners, I'd then go out an sell Ad Space to local biz owners and professionals.

Now...along comes Cell Phones and Mobile Devices. I bought every course, WSO and program I came across, thinking I could use my sales experience to sell the heck out of Mobile Devices.

Well....when I went out into the marketplace I discovered that MANY biz owners, either didn't want or care to have...their biz be able to be seen on Mobile Devices.

So....I had spent so much time and moola in the Mobile thing I KNEW there was a way to "Cash-In" on this concept. Heck...everybody I know and most of the people in my area have some kind of Gadjet in their hands.

So....because I like to do my own type of "Brain-Storming" here's what I did; I laid some of my Ad Projects in front of me.
Example; I put some of my Pizza Box Flyers in front of me and asked myself WHO will see these flyers? WHERE will they go? WHAT will pizza eaters do with these?

Well....the Flyers are stuck onto the box with a piece of tape. Pizza-Eaters take the flyer off the box and....(watch this) STICK IT ON THEIR FRIDGE do they could remember to use the Special Coupons for Re-Orders.

THAT'S when I got one of my "Hot-Flashes"; WHY DON'T I PRINT A QRCODE on the Flyer so pizza eaters could use their Mobi Device to SCAN the Code to....not only get UP-Dated Coupons BUT, Special Discount Offers from each of the advertisers on the box?????????

WOW! Better than SMS! Every week, the pizza eaters could whip out their mobi, Scan the QR Code and get UPDated Special Offers!!!!

Holy Camoly!

Now....I also thought; Hey! Why don't I put a QR Code on the Fridge Magnet "Take-Out" Menus!!!!!!

These were designed to be STUCK ON THE FRIDGE so they'd be handy to see the Menu.

So....rather than go to biz owners and try and sell them a "Mobile Phone" program....I'd sell them an Ad on a Pizza Flyer or Magnetic Take-Out Menu
....WITH a QR Code...so their Ad could be changed OFTEN....whenever they wanted. All I'd have to do is change the Mobile Program on my server.

And....for this to work advertisers MUST pay for me to "hook up a Mobile" program for them.

WHALA! See how I "came in the Back Door" to get my advertisers IN my Mobile Program?

Anyway....I now have a way to get INITIAL Cash for the Flyers or Magnets PLUS....good-sized (and I'm talking GOOD-SIZED) RESIDUALS from my advertisers.

So....by "releasing", what I call a "DyNoMyte" program, here, where many techie-eyes can see....I'm sure there'll be someone who will be offering this in the near future.

A way to "GET QR CODES INTO THE HANDS OF CONSUMERS" and "A WAY TO CHANGE THE COUPON OFFERS, WITHOUT HANDING OR MAILING OUT THE ITEMS HOLDING THE QR CODES!....AND....No More trying to "Beat prospects on the head" trying to get them to try "Mobile Marketing"!

I'd like to get your reaction/s.

As for QR Codes ... I love them. Problem is most people still don't know what they are or how to use them.

My "Magnetic To-Go Menus" AND "Pizza Flyers" BOTH EXplain What the Code is doing ON the items....what they are for and...HOW to get "UpDated Discount Coupons" simply by Scanning the Codes!

And....NO having to "Sell" prospects on the "Benefits" as to WHY they need a "Mobile Website"! It's INCLUDED in the Ad Program!

Well...."beam me up Scotty! Us "late-comers" can find other parties to attend where we are "welcomed"!

Don,

YOU didn't come up with this, nor did you "revolutionize" mobile marketing. Dynamic QR codes were being used way before you thought of the idea.
You merely found out about it from another source (probably from the one mentioned above) & now you're claiming credit for creating the system.
More specifically, changing messages with dynamic QR codes placed on magnets.

I appreciate a majority of your posts, but this does it for me.

So, next time you make these bogus claims, give the credit to where it's due.
While you're at it, be sure to return these "toys" to the proper owners.

I'm not going to continually scan a QR code to see what the latest discount is, especially at home, with a flyer in front of me w/ the telephone number. Although I like QR codes and magnets etc...I don't see the value here.

The value to a QR code in this case might be a simple "scan to call" one. People are inherently lazy and just getting them to dial 10 digits on their phone is getting tough.

Can't believe I'm saying this and it doesn't really matter much, but I have to say I remember Don mentioning this a while back before Jack or anyone else was promoting this.

I have to agree with NewParadigm though, and I think relying on the customer to keep a QR code handy to scan every so often looking for new deals is about as bad as just hoping a new client is going to walk into a business and give you their money.

I'd much rather have an email or SMS list I can PUSH notifications to rather than HOPE someone's going to remember to visit my store/website or scan a QR code in this case.

But that's a part of the story as well. Getting them to scan also makes available a mobile lead gen for joining their SMS list. So now they have the best of both worlds. Notifications of specials/discounts and a simple way to find out whats happening when the customer wants.

WOW! Thanks folks for reminding me NOT to present stuff in a Forum that "US".... "ME".....DIRECT SALES GUYS (as opposed to folks who depend on their KEYBOARDS for money-making programs) have done and are STILL doing.

OK! Let's say YOU (Key-Board Guy.... looking to make some SERIOUS money YOUR neighborhood)....you phone a local Pizza Biz and order a Large Pepperoni (MY fave) A few mins later theres a knock at your door and...it's the Pizza Delivery Guy with your pizza!

"Wahoo! We can now chow down! You thank the delivery guy (hopefully with a few bux)....take the box and set it down on a table. Then....you notice a Full Color Flyer STUCK ON TOP OF THE BOX that has BIG WORDS on it that says; "SCAN HERE FOR SPECIAL DISCOUNTS ON RE-ORDERS!"

And....there's a funny-looking square-thing you've seen elsewhere (so you have sort of an Idea of what it is. It looks like a Bar Code you see EVERY-TIME you buy anything at yer Grocery Store)

So....you are HUNGRY and rather than tossing the Flyer, with this strange-looking "Thingey" into the trash bin....you "take a chance" and save it.

Well....next morning, you pick up the flyer and see the Headline that says; "SCAN HERE FOR SPECIAL DISCOUNTS ON RE-ORDERS!" So....you whip out yer cell....aim it at this funny-lookin square thingey and....WHALA! On the Screen of yer Phone appears a Logo of the Pizza Biz that delivered yer Mouth-Waterng delicacy that made you and yer friends VERY HAPPY!...
AND.... a Photo of a PIZZA"...and a Coupon" for a SPECIAL Deal on your next order!

So...you decide NOT to toss this Flyer into yer trash basket and instead... STICK IT ON YER FRIDGE....SO THE NEXT TIME YOU FEEL LIKE HAVING A PIZZA DELIVERED....YOU REMEMBER YOU CAN WHIP OUT YER TRUSTY LITTLE CELL PHONE....AIM THE CAMERA AT THE FUNNY-LOOKING BOX AND...WHALA!....UP ON THE SCREEN COMES A "DISCOUNT COUPON" for our next order...and all we have to do is MENTION....the Coupon is ON our Cell Phone Screen NOW!

Wowee! Yowee! THIS is the 21st Century. "Awesome!"

Now....let's say you phone yer favorite local restaurant (I LOVE GREEK food) and I order Take-Out at least twice a week.

OK....15 or 20 min later...I drive down to pick up my order and....on top of the Food Box the waitress hands me.... is a "Fridge Magnet" with a sign that says; "Place on your Fridge and SCAN for Special Discount on your Next Order!"

YOU KIDDING ME? Heck yes! I'll put this Magnet ON my fridge....with the Funny-Looking Square thingy. And...because "curiosity" has got me, when I'm finished eating....I whip out my phone, aim it at the funny-looking box thingey....snap a picture and BINGO-BANGO-BONGO....up on the screen of my phone appears a Discount Coupon I can use for my next order!

Wowee! Yowee!

So....again, forgive me for bringing this up on a "Key-Board" audience Forum rather than a "Direct-Sales" forum of people who have EXPERIENCED "Reality" by seeing prospects....IN THE FLESH!

This is good but don't get p...ssd when I say it's not "Revolutionary" ( as your headline states). You asked for feedback didn't you?
There are many already doing similar with QR codes. It may not be on top of pizza boxes but the QR code is printed on top of something.

I too am a direct marketer and salesman of 30 years in the real Face to Face world. I am also now using new technologies like Mobiles, SMS, QR Codes and Direct Response Lead Generation for clients.
So, I understand where you're coming from, but it ain't "Revolutionary" in my opinion.

I agree, and QR codes eliminate everyone that does not have a smart phone. Why not in addition to a QR code, just have a message saying "Text the keyword COUPON to get this week's special pizza deal sent immediately to your cell phone!"

You could then just change out the coupon weekly, and have the reply messages expire every week.

QR codes are great, but so many people are still clueless on what they do.

OK so Text Coupon to 69696 for your instant virtual coupon rather than QR. Or use Both, as QR codes don't seem to get as many leads as opposed to texting. Somewhere in all this is a monthly fee as you can have ever changing Virtual coupons. Hmmm
