I am setting up a mobile guide for a town near me - mobile search shows 1600 per month on mobile for town+ny. Town+ny dot net is available as is .mobi. town+ny+guide dot com is available. I would like to stick with just town+ny so .net or .mobi would work. Any thoughts? Also - it will be a free directory with premium listings available as a "get in the door" tactic |

Both are cool, depends now as to which one is cheapest .net ot .mobi . If you would ask me, I'll go with the cheapest of the two.

Only a couple $ difference - more looking to what might pull more weight with the big G when it comes to mobile search.

Get the .mobi. Google is giving priority to mobile Websites with .mobi on mobile devices searches.

Hi Go for .mobi TLD which may not be so popular, yet is cheaper that the .net TLD. Moreoevr in many of the mobile device, you just need to type the name of the domain and the typinvg of .mobi is not required in the mobile browser. For example, in case of "company.mobi"; you need to only type the "company" in the mobile browser and get involved with the site easily. |

I also think maybe the .mobi will sound "cooler" to the potential listing businesses.

I'm always open to learning I just always felt .com was best for branding and that the only TLD I seem to use and remember just an opinion.
