Kazba - QR codes contain a URL link that redirects the person scanning to the website (standard or mobile) Why the question? I think there is more behind your question and I might be able to help if you are more clear on what you are trying to do.

Hi Kazba,

You could add an affiliate link to the QR Code that would take them right to the app store to download the app if thats what your end goal is, I am like DownlineMarketer in that I think I could help more if you said what context your talking about

Basically QR code redirects to an link . It can be any link to your app or affiliate offer or website.

IMHO : it depends what app you are using to scan the QRcode.. my friend develop mobile app which can play certain video for each QRcode.

just imagine the finger print scanner: it gives different (registered)ID for each finger.. then the app will proceed the ID (view your photo, open the door, etc)

but basically, built-in QRcode scanner on mobile phone are made for browsing the url link attached on the QRcode.

Re: qrcode and app question please

When you are generating QR code, you can encode plain text, Vcard, etc, and most commonly seen is a URL that directs to a website, a video, a pic but it cannot directly contain an App.

In recent years, QR code is commonly used in advertising, packaging, commercial tracking, entertaining, transport ticketing, product marketing and in-store product labeling. Besides, it can also be applied to store personal information by government.
