ISP Targeting

I would like to know the reasons to target by ISP in mobile traffic.

I noticed that several advertisers target Verizon, AT&T, T-mobile, but I don't really understand why. Maybe providers' audience is similar to advertisers' or they sell their services just with smartphones.

Hope you'll help me to understand this targeting, because I didn't find valuable info in google.

Kindly,
Irene

Re: ISP Targeting

We're just moving to paying out on a carrier-based model and it comes down to one thing... conversions.

Different networks can have vastly different demographics. There's a difference between prepaid networks and regular networks, for example. And some networks tend to have newer phones and devices that reveal their demographics. Plus, there are a bunch of conversion factors that I don't even know what or why they are.

But I can definitively say that our top network converts at twice the rate as our lowest network. This is a performance game, and typically, if you're seeing different payouts from the same source, it's driven by a performance difference.
