what type of mobile site ? like zedge or mobile tips site ? i had been running a mobile site but after some time when i didn't get enough profit so i shut down the site.

HTML and Jquery can be great if you are prepared to put in the time it takes to learn how it all works. Definitely.

But from my own experience, most people run at the first sign of code or css or any of that stuff.

WPTouch really only address the blogging side of WordPress with no out of the box functionality or features that you would expect to see on a mobile site that's required for an offline brick and mortar business.

You can select a custom landing page for the mobile site if you don't want the latest posts to be what the visitor first sees.

Do you still have to design that landing page though? Am pretty sure you do.

WPTouch just doesn't seem to provide you with out of the box features to create a true full blown mobile optimized website - unless i am totally missing those types of features.

The last time i looked even the WPTouch Pro version lacks a solution for GPS integrated directions pages, mobile friendly contact pages, mobile friendly galleries, autoresponder integration, mobile friendly squeeze page, etc.. these are just some of the basic features needed for most brick and mortar business mobile websites.

No doubt you can custom code and add features to WPTouch but for most people thats beyond their skill level and am sure they would probably not care to be doing that either if there was a more simple solution...

I use EZmobileGenerator and since a few weeks also the JumpMobi tool (both Wordpress based). The JumpMobi tool is the newest (and for me at this moment) best kid on the block
