M-Commerce or E-commerce? Hello folks. As today's world is changing towards mobile wesites, it is obvious that the E-commerce site is now going to be replaced by M-commerce site very soon. Plan of a Mobile-E-commerce site and think how wonderful it could be if you go for business transaction or buying and selling of goods and services through mobile. What you say on this? |
Re: M-Commerce or E-commerce? I personally don't see this as "Ecommerce or Mcommerce". There is only one thing as online commerce and its different representations on different devices. Same products, same payment buttons, same sales funnel, same customers, different devices, different representation. Don't think about building two different funnels, think about building one funnel and adapting it to different representations. The layout will definitely be different but the structure will be the same. |
Re: M-Commerce or E-commerce? Short answer to your question. In my opinion, both. Well for the next two years anyway, then you will want to focus more on m-commerce than on e-commerce. Desktops are a dying breed. Mobile is where its at. Oh and if you really want to get innovative, start developing ideas that can be used in cars. That is going to get very hot, very quick. |

Of course Mobile is getting popular. Crazy popular, in fact. But desktops are not even close to becoming a dying breed. |
Re: M-Commerce or E-commerce? I think the biggest problem at the moment with m-commerce is the whole checkout process. Not many clients really want to enter tons of data (address, credit card data etc.) until reaching the final step for confirmation of their order. But i'm sure mobile commerce would work (better) if there was a solution (like google accounts authentication with google wallet) which would pass all the necessary information to the shop. And: e-commerce will never be dead ;) |
Re: M-Commerce or E-commerce? It is all about the sale. No matter the platform. Go where the buyers are and will be. Go trendy. So go mcommerce + good PPC marketing and won't make a mistake just profit... |
Re: M-Commerce or E-commerce? E commerce not only needs internet but also electricity whereas there is no such requirement with m commerce. M commerce is easier to get to in comparison to e commerce but at present, using m commerce is costlier than using e commerce. |
Re: M-Commerce or E-commerce? My client also want e-commerce mobile site.. I am trying to design e-commerce site for mobile and tablet version. |
