I've been sms marketing for a little bit now and have always used URL Shorteners - at first I ued Bit.ly and now use Googles URL Shortener: goo.gl

I do this because:

1. It fits better in a text
2. Google is trustworthy.
3. Mobile Carriers Ban Your Link? (Never know what to expect)

My question is has anyone tested if link shorteners are better than using ones own web page url.

ex. mywebsite.com/ clickme

A real webpage seems to give off more credibility and confidence.
Anyone split test this yet?
