Good Mobile Emulator
Share on:

Hi,

Does anyone know of a mobile simulator or emulator that integrates the URL of the website you check for its mobile-readiness into its own URL?

For instance if you enter the URL of the website, you get a URL like

www.mobile-emulator.com/p=www.randomwebsite.com?

I hope I made myself clear here...

Thanks in advance

We also have a simulator with url you input in the simulator device.

If you are looking for a url shortener then Quentin's one does the trick.

Thanks for your input guys,

I'm gonna check these these two products and make a purchase.

I need to integrate a screenshot of the webpage with the 'simulated' mobile site as a PPT slide for an automated video creation process. I'm sending out these videos to prospects automatically too, in order to reach more prospects.

Here in Belgium Mobile is not so hot yet, but that's all gonna change now

If that's the case then use this free emulator:
Mobilizer | Springbox

This is the best emulator around. Allows you to choose from a range of different phones and even better, you can take screenshots of the phone with mobile site from right within the program -- just one click.

If you use chrome right click the background --> click inspect elements --> click the setting icon int he bottom right --> Overrides --> User Agent (select iphone, ipad, galaxy nexus, etc whatever you want) --> if your on a new version of chrome it should automatically select the device metrics (you might have to change the user agent and go back). Refresh your page

Didn't know that... thanks... I've been using Mobilizer for quite sometime now.

And here's one more for the record -

Opera Mobile Emulator

This one can help test your site on different devices, not limited to mobiles.
