Text to Win Promotions?
 

Hi guys, I'm a complete noob when it comes to this sort of marketing, so, I'd appreciate any kind of advice.... or links to good resources.

How do you go about setting up these text to win promotions, I'm not talking about the marketing end, I'm talking about the technical end of things.

I'm guessing you charge something like $1 or so per text, and a % goes to a service provider?

You actually do not charge, you simply need to set up a mobile keyword via a mobile marketing provider. Take a look at the campaign that Time Warner Cable did recently for the Los Angeles Lakers:
