Anyone doing mobile SEO/search? Anyone doing mobile SEO? I am a bit confused about mobile search and mobile SEO. When we tell prospects that a mobile website will help them to be found on Google, the inevitable question is "how"? Since Google changes daily, I really don't want to get too much into mobile SEO but I would like to answer this intelligently. My thoughts (in no particular order) are: 1. Since the main site will redirect to the mobile site, it is more important to rank their main site. 2. Businesses must claim their Google+ (formerly Google Places) listing since these are listed first. 3. Onsite SEO and analytics still important. 4. Google ads are before organic listings, so mobile ads were worth paying for. 5. Social factors are becoming more important/relevant so businesses should focus on increasing their social presence (Facebook, Twitter, review sites...) Any thoughts, comments, feedback? Susan |
Re: Anyone doing mobile SEO/search? Bump - any mobile SEO experts out there? |
Re: Anyone doing mobile SEO/search? A really good question, Susan. I sell mobile sites and would like to know more about mobile SEO. I don't think there is much difference between web and mobile SEO. A mobile site is usually an addition to a web site. However, one can use traditional ways to promote a mobile site such as social media marketing, video, SMS etc Would like to hear if someone here is using something else. |
Re: Anyone doing mobile SEO/search? Not experienced yet. It will be very interesting for me, Waiting for 1st SEO project of ranking on mobile devices. |

Re: Anyone doing mobile SEO/search? Mobile SEO and Web SEO isn't have much difference when it comes to especially SEO. But as you know google algo again target Bounce rate and user experience it really recommended to have "responsive" site or Mobile site that redirected for mobile users. i have few sites that has more than 70% mobile users and i still rank on mobile and web both. |
Re: Anyone doing mobile SEO/search? maybe i can contribute a little with my small experience. First you put your primary keyword exactly in your app title. second google+ is important for your ratings. your app instals and ratings count but not as the first two. if you search on googleplay you will notice that less ratings are higher in rankinks than apps with better ratings. so many factors are considered. Start with your app keyword and the keyword in the description of your app. hope that helps |

Re: Anyone doing mobile SEO/search? I agree with "dome" that there is no difference between mobile seo and web seo. If you are on top in web, then you will get rank in mobile as well as tablets. |
