Which SMS service are UK warriors using

I hear great things about Lime but is it the best option for warriors in the UK?

I am currently considering Lime but I think it's unfair that Lime does not provide a free short code, only a normal long number. Also you get 2,500 credits instead of 5,000. Although pricier here in the Uk than US it is still a good deal I think???

I would prefer a free standard shortcode coupled with similar features to Lime...any ideas from anyone in the UK would be greatly appreciated, thanks :-)

Hi mate , sorry I passed over this yesterday and meant to come back

The UK isnt as flush with SMS providers but have used TextMarketer.co.uk, twilio and , txtlocal , have a look at them and see if they fit your requirements as it really depends on what you wnat and the development potential of your business in line with the suppliers etc .

Different options, a simple Google search will pull up a variety of white label SMS providers for the UK.

Hi mate,

I had a good look at Lime, but as you said, they don't do shortcode for the UK (must for me).

I went for Textburst, as they have a shortcode (albeit, shared), and unlimited keywords (+ autoresponder texts). I seem to remember there being a cap on keywords for Lime, although I can't be sure.

Textburst charge 10p per text (typically UK expensive), but there are no monthly fees. The interface is good.

Also, when you text someone, you can state the name of the texter - I.e., you can write your client's business name, as opposed to the shortcode number, so it looks more personal when the client's customers receive the text. I may be wrong, but I don't think Lime did this. This was an issue with a lot of platforms.

Textburst ticks a lot of boxes for me. And their customer service is great, very polite, and will fix stuff the same day.

If you want to use long code (your phone number e.g. ) there are a lot of app that support sms marketing.

Why you need a Short Code, when you can use your business or campaign name in the message header. Numbers are hard to recognize as compared to the name of brand/cafe/outlet etc.
