Know your stats, Generate Revenue

Hey Warriors!

I have been looking at a few posts lately and see some trends. There are a few warriors who are concerned with charging too much for mobile websites. There are a few warriors who do not see a need in mobile websites.

Also, I believe that if you're reaching in mobile marketing...you are probably some kind of designer or marketer. So, it is KEY that you know these stats by heart in order to share with business owner to help generate revenue for your business.

So, I just wanted to share a few statistics in this new thread!

-6.8 billion people on this planet
-4.0 billion use a mobile phone
-3.5 billion use a tooth brush (Gross, I know)

Also the following is HUGE for local businesses and to educate local business owners.

-95% of smartphone users have searched for local business
-61% have called that business after searching
-59% have actually visited that business

Out of 87% of smartphone users, they asked why they would scan a QR Code. And, 87% of them said to redeem a mobile coupon or get a discount.

These numbers are huge in showing business owners the power of mobile. I just wanted to shed some light on this fact because I love mobile, which is why I'm posting in here!!

Nice stats.

Here's some more I use:

- 90% of websites look horrible on a smartphone.
- Over 50% of all local searches happen on a smartphone.
- Google says that if your mobile website is hard to read, 61% of your audience leaves, and 40% goes to a competitor that has a good mobile web presence.
- The likelihood someone will buy averages 7.4% on a mobile device - over 3 times higher than on a computer.

For realz.

Awesome, Awesome! I do have one stat that says the consumer will turn to a competitor but I did not see the one about 7.4% purchase on mobile. That is a great stat, let alone 3 times higher than on PC.

Just shows that business owners NEED to get mobile asap.
