difference between push marketing and sms

ok...thought this was just messing with the words...now, it seems, that I am incorrect. and yes, I have been mistaken before...I DID FALL the first time I starting walking, other than that , well...been pretty good.

now that the bs is done, can someone explain to me the difference.?

An sms is a text message sent to a mobile phone, you must know what these are.

A push message is used by applications installed on a mobile device such as a tablet or smartphone. This type of message comes through the app to inform the app user of something. An example would be a twitter app and it could alert you when somebody tweets. Now with push notifications the app doesnt need to be open to display these messages and the user can turn the option off.

Thank you. So for me to do push, I would need my recipients to have all ready downloaded my app. So I need to market the app first. Thanks! !

Yes, the end user must have your app installed to get push messages through it.

Push is via APP and SMS of course is with normal text marketing
