Hello Warriors, I know I'm a little behind the times, but am about to build out my first mobile website. I will be using the 'Seperate Sites' model (i.e. m.mydomain.com) instead of the 'Responsive design' model. So what I'm confused about is this... When my main, non-mobile site ranks in the search engine and a mobile user does a Google search, finds my article in the results, then clicks on the link to read it, my mobile site will appear instead of my non-mobile site which contained the article. So how does this work? Do all mobile users always get redirected to the same mobile home page no matter what page of my non-mobile article they try to read? How do they ever read the content they are trying to access? I'm guessing I need to make a duplicate content post for my m.mydomain.com site, then have the main blog directed to that specific page on my mobile site? If so, are there some kind of SEO concerns for duplicate content - or does Google ignore it realizing that it's the mobile version of my normal site? Sorry for such a long question & thank you for your responses, Randall |

Here's usually happens. If your page rank on google, mobile user click it ... two things will happen: - If you have redirect script on header, they will be redirected to homepage of mobile website - If you don't have redirect script on header, they will go to desktop website (that particular page) Don't worry about duplicate content. |
