Business Cards and Pamphlets for Mobile Sales
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hello everyone,
I know there is a good amount of people who sell mobile websites in this part of the forum. I want to hear your guys' opinion.

My sales pitch is pretty solid and I have no issues keeping the receiver interested in what I have to say (I use a tablet and smartphone, and let them hold the tablet and view a demo site as I talk about my services).

But I was thinking of incorporating a pamphlet into this as well, maybe just a nice looking piece of paper that has all the key points that I am talking about / what I offer. That way, if they say something like "Money is tight, we'll think about it", I have something nice and informative to leave with them.

I'm sure some of you use this technique already- Does it provide benefit to the sale? This goes for business cards too.

Does anyone have any sources to where I can get an already made pamphlet? I'm no graphic designer so it would save me (and anyone else who needs it) allot of time.

Looking forward to your responses!

Money is never that tight. If someone says that to you it usually means they don't want it... and that means you haven't done a good enough job of selling the BENEFITS (NOT features) to them.

If you were down to your last 5 dollars and someone walked up to you in the street and told you they would sell you a 10 dollar note for just 5 dollars, you'd do it every single day of the week right -- regardless of how tight money is.

You need to make them realize that the value they are going to receive far outweighs the money they are spending. If you can do this then you make a sale. If you don't do this then you get people giving you excuses like the one above. "Money is tight" is just an excuse to get rid of you out the door.

Great advice, as usual.
I haven't actually heard that excuse yet ("Sorry money is tight"), it was just an example.

Whats your opinion on pamphlets to aid the sale? Give them some things to refer to if they have any questions etc.

You can try putting a QR Code on the back of your business card, lead it to more info you are trying to communicate to them, or a live demo.

I have had some success with this method, just a suggestion

There are some WSOs that have been sold recently past few months that have what you are looking for or you could try warrior classifieds or even fiverr maybe?

I agree with WillR.
Money is Tight means = I am not interested in what you have to sell. The benefits you outlined does not at this point outweigh the pain of giving you my money RIGHT NOW.

Its a polite way of saying no thank you.

Read it for what it is and either move on and go thru the numbers or go back to your drawing board and come back with a more compelling selling proposition. Comeback with the pitch that shows them that you are the bank and are offering them MONEY at a DISCOUNT.

If you have the cash and want a professional outcome, I'd use moo.com. They're fairly expensive compared with vistaprint or whatever but the products are good quality and from production to shipping is fast and efficient.

the pamphlet will be used as an excuse to end the presentation, have you ever heard leave the infromation and I'll call you when I read it. You need to be the source of the infromation because you need to make changes on the fly to "tailor the package to their needs." It's not a turn key package, make them feel like their needs are different from all the other. Separate yorself from the crowd. We don't make major decisions without learning as much as we can. You need to know as much as you know about your prospects before you get in front of them, it shows attention to detail and you wond look desperate! Your time it's valuable, cold calls lead to very few sales, warm calls are better.
